Newbie back again

You guys have been helpful to this newbie on his first grow. It was suggested that since my autos showed no sign of sex after 8 weeks to flip to 12/12. Since then then I’ve seen pistils, some stretching and what I think are the beginnings of flowers!
I leaf tuck daily and early on did a little lst. Any suggestions on what else I might do? I’m happy with things so far but as I said I’m new toB06B43AB-466B-4658-9E16-0514DD6F7575.jpeg4ACFAE44-9760-40BC-A4ED-274E0834B4DC.jpeg

First pic, some of the lower growth on the far left and on the far right has some white specs and chewed up looking leaves. Inspect those for pests and double check airflow in there. Tent looks clean though and overall plant looks healthy. Nice job so far. What light are you using?

I think the beat up leaves are the result of repeated leaf tucking. I might be a bit aggressive in that department. I’ve looked carefully for pests and haven’t seen any.
I have two Viparspectra P1000’s in a 4x2x5 tent.

So the autos were your last grow, or they’re this current grow? If it’s this one, then you’re 8 plus weeks in and you’re running 12/12 for light? I’ve never grown an auto but I’m pretty sure most people run at least 18/6 with them. Mostly I see people use 20/4 and I’ve seen one real nice one done 24/0. If you’re 12/12 it’s probably not enough light for an auto, IMHO.

Hopefully you are still at least 18/6 - some autos do lag sometimes when sexxing out at expected times - its the gamble with autos sometimes…. Will it preflower as intended or need a kick in the pants and need 12/12.

It looks pretty good so far … it will stretch some , tuck some leaf to get light inward. Lst is another tool to help direct growth.

I've wondered...once someone flips a lagging auto to 12/12 in an effort to get it to flower, should they stay on 12/12 or go back to 18/6 or 20/4?

This is my first grow. I ran lights at 18/6 for almost 9 weeks with no show of sex whatsoever. Experienced growers said to flip to 12/12 to try to get her to flower Ten days after flipping I had pistils and now I have what I believe are beginnings of flowers.
Is it a photo and not an auto or is it an auto that has poor genetics? It’s really a moot point now if those are indeed the start of flowers.

I don’t know what to say to that. If you’re not sure it’s an auto then it’s probably best to keep on the 12’s.

I asked that very question and the answer I got was stay at 12/12. The reason being if the auto gene is very week or it’s a photo and not an auto it will go back to veg.
I don’t think it’s worth taking a chance that it reverts to veg since I think it’s transitioning to flower stage.

It’s supposed to be a Gorilla Glue auto from Growers Choice. I started 2 seeds the other one a Kush freebie that died shortly after breaking ground. I have nothing to compare this plant to.

I also remember getting a few drops of nuted water (GH micro and gro) on a couple of leaves. Could that be the reason for the spots? I have checked repeatedly for pests and have seen nothing. Even so, I have been more careful when watering.
