i've looking at the growing faq i'm using soil and exposing deeper layers inside the stem han't worked. niether has creating a little greenhouse. i use take root, grainular mycorrhizae, blood/bone meal, perlite, organic soil. i let the soil stay damp/dry side

so is it hard or impossible to just start a clone in a decent soilless mix? Or should it stay in water for a week/two then go into a soilless mix?

thanks. I've been trying to find a solid answer on that one.
i've been cloning in soil and my first batch was pretty healthy, the second batch i planted 20 new clones and none survived after doing all these "advanced" cloning methods:cuss: they were from the same strain

My condolence for your losses. I am still a newbie, so a soilless mix sounds nice to me. Thanks for the input.

i got mine from b & q in the uk you will find it in any garden store or you could use perlite

vermiculite

perlite

its cheap i buy a bag of them both £4 each and it will last me 3 or 4 grows

do a mix of them and coco under a plastic see through box i leave it in my flowering room and they probably root in about a week and a half to two weeks

i just use a cheap rooting hormone from my supermarket its worked so far
