Maybe. I’m not a coco grower but I’m pretty sure it binds up calcium and magnesium. There’s likely extra of those elements in the coco line. I’m pretty sure Canna makes a hydro specific line. I tried the BioCanna last year and found them pretty expensive to run.

Canna Coco is probably normal hydro fertilizer with a cal-mag supplement included, not more. It should be safe to use in a DWC; maybe not if your water already contains high levels of calcium or magnesium.

Hi, so no cal/mag needed extra with Canna Coco A&B? I use Osmosis Water.

I don't think so. It's the point of those coco formulas that they already include the extra cal-mag you would otherwise add. They also mention that explicitely in their product description (well, GHE does, Canna does not, but I assume the same there).

I use GH but only Micro and Bloom 6/9 per Gallon but adding cal/mag is nesassary maybe because Grow is not there. I try next time Canna Coco A&B

If you grow in coco you often have to add extra cal-mag because the coco binds to it. It does not matter what other formula you use.

I run a successful coco grow right now and I have NOT added any cal-mag at all, but this is probably due to my tap water already being rich in minerals.

I you still have GH nutrients, I suggest you buy their CalMag supplement and use that as well. No need to switch to another fertilizer right now. GH nutrients work really well with coco, a lot of people use them (including me) with no problems.

that's H3AD's formula for coco. he used 1 gram/gal of Espom instead of cal/mg though

RO water or tap water is a big difference. To my knowledge the feed schedules that are published are usually for RO water ("pure water"), because that is the only reasonable baseline one can agree on.

Tap water differs vastly, even from one waterworks to the next in the same county.

As I've mentioned, I should have added CalMag to my coco grow, but it turned out to not be necessary, because my tap water is "hard water" and it already has enough of those minerals in it. Had I used RO or rain water I would probably have run into trouble.

I grow in coco and never have to use a calmag supplement.
I think a lot of people use it unnecessarily because they think it's needed all the time.......based on all the crappy advice given daily.

The schedule from Heads Formular its nesassary to add cal/mag
