Usually I pre prep my water consumption for feed well in advance .

Wondering how long I should leave the lids off will it have much benefit to the final product

I do leave it in a 5 gallon bucket for a day or 2 in the winter just to bring it to room temp. Got those shallow southern pipes.

I pour my water straight out of the tap and use it.

Just wait until you newbies realise that chlorine is actually used by plants lol.

chloramine is harder on plants at levels above 4ppm.

it all depends what your water company is using to sterilise their water.

thankfully I live in Wales U.K. where the water is nice and soft with 0.2EC and they use chlorine.

I have chloramine in my water, but this aquarium treatment has solved the issue for me. It only requires a few drops per bucket. (5ml treats 30 gallons for chloramines)

my ph this morning was 10.8 from the tap too.

SeaChem PRIME is another good one For chloramine but not sure if it’s ok for plants ( however I did have a planted aquarium while using this and saw no negative effects)
