Let Me Hear From A Responsible Smoker

I want to hear from responsible smokers.

If you are under 21, or if you still live with Mommy and/or Daddy without a good reason, or if you are a drop out and have not gotten an education, or if you are a gang banger, or if you are selling maurijuana for a job, or if you are a maurijuana feen, or if you are a drug user other then alcohol or mauriuana I do not consider you a responsible smoker. Is there anyone out there who is a maurijuana smoker who has a good job other then me, and a few individuals I know?

The reason I am wanting to hear from you (the responsible smoker) is because I'm shocked to find so many people in the world who consider maurijuana as a serious drug. I rarely see people who have decent jobs and normal lives who smoke maurijuana. Most often I find the irresponsible smoker tainting maurijuana because of their idiotic actions. Let me just hear from you (the responsible smoker). What do you do for a living? Why do you smoke? What do you like about it? :weed:
this must be the biggest load of(excuse my french) shite! that i,ve read in a long time. its so single minded its unbelievable.AND IT,S MARIJUANA!!

Maybe in time you'll understand.
There are alot of people out there that smoke and can't even hold a job.
Out of all the people I've met and know that smoke I would say only a
handfull of them I would consider to be someone that's not a deadbeat.
Some of the deadbeats I know are the nicest people in the world, but
they just don't give a shit about excelling in life. Plus, these deadbeats that I know, most of them will admit that they are.
Then I know alot of people who used to smoke but no longer do because
of their job.

I would really like to see marijuana smoking someday become of way of
life legally.
But it would be really damn hard to make that happen if alot of people
associate weed smoking with people who are lazy ass deadbeats who
can't even hold a job.
We need to change this......

People who know me, find it really hard to believe that I smoke. Some people say to me I don't look or act like a typical smoker.
When people find out that I smoke, they feel differently about smoking weed after talking and hanging out with me.
It'll take a long time. But we need more people like myself to spread the
reputation that marijuana smoking deserves.
Smoking weed delivers so many benefits, it's a shame that alot of people
characterize smoking weed like this.

I am responsible. I have a job as a business analyst a wife and two kids. I handle my shit but most people I know don't. Being a pot head and being succesful certainly don't go hand in hand.

lolllllllllllll...If you are not leeching off society or hurting other people then you are responsible enough. And to the OP...many of your descriptions are not indicative of irresponsibility, that is just how you see things. There are many paths to life and having a good job and a house and car do not mean that you are better than, say, a high school drop out who grows weed for a living.

I was kicked out of school and live in my mother's yard.. but I was kicke dout of school because my mental disorder's were "a threat" to the other children... and the government pay's me to stay at home.. i'm doing everything I can to get out of the situation that circumstances and family have put me in.. it's just a deep fuckin hole thats hard to get out of... does that make me an irresponsible smoker? I don;t think so..

I know plenty of educated on their own potheads who make all of us look bad.. you'd be surprised the shit people you just described as "responsible" and I for one, am offended and want to just say FUCK YOU.. have a nice day

let me ask you am i a responsible smoker. smoked since i was 12. did not go to college. got in trouble in school, at home, i have had umpteen jobs, switched careers about 5 time now. 3 kids with 2 different wife's, mortgaged out my ass, a little debit, cocaine addiction a few years ago, rehab stay to get away from the addiction that cost me $10,000.

now i ask what the fuck does that have to do with me being a responsible smoker. i now make $22 a hour. i am a 3 year apprentice, when i turn out i will be making $37 a hour. i have figured out that with that kind of money i can pay off my house in 10years. i can actually even consider putting my kids through college. my wife will have the chance to actually find a job where she can do what she enjoys. my point is my smoking pot had nothing to do with any of this.

with this line of thinking you should blame it all on the cell phones. cell phone? yea every drug dealer has one, every moron on the street has one, every responsible college kid mooching off there parent have one, my lazy 45 year old brother that lives with my mom has one. now that i think about it every gay person i have seen has a damn cell phone. i bet its why they are gay. born that way. HMMPFFF!!!!

its the cells phone not the pot.

i feel for the folks like the couple who uses for pain from work and his wife with MS. the dude with situation with metal health that can benefit from MJ. i am one of those folks my self. i deal with BI-polar disorder. the meds i take are pretty heavy. when i take the dosage recommended i am a zombie. i have tried 5 different meds in the last few years. i have settled on the one with the least side affect. my doctor and i have had conversation about this. i told her that if i take 1/2 the dosage and am able to smoke that i can side step the zombie mode but not go off the deep end or go on my triads. she told me she had never smoked pot not even in college, she said that she has come to realize the medicinal value of MMJ, but her concern was that the weed i would get on the street could have other stuff in it. (NAIVE) when i told her i did not buy off the street she asked how do i get it then. i told her i rather not tell her. she reduced my meds, set me up for 1 day a week for 3 weeks to check on me. after 3 weeks we both decided we had found a happy medium. i live in a state that does not reconize MMJ and the values it holds. much like dude who started this thread.

Same boat... I told my doctor that none of the meds helped.. they either made me feel like a zombie, or like I was comming off a meth binge.. I explained that marijuana was the only relief I had.. she said that she understand and wish's that she could help me quit.. I told her that unless they give me something that does me like pot, that it aint happeneing.. she asked me what I thought of xanax..lmfao... I told her i'll take my chances with pot..

she's cool though.. she knows pots not like crack or anything, and even conceeded that it's less harmful than alcohol and cigarette's.. it's just illegal.. not immoral is what she said.. i'm glad to see i'm not the only one who uses it to control the mood swings and depression from bi-polar... we're unbalanced but we're alright..lol..

I don't want to offend you (but probably will), but I get a very self-righteous vibe from this post. Like the business man who drinks three bottles of wine at night, but looks down on the homeless bloke with the bottle of muscat in his hand.

I also have no desire to 'excell' in life...well, at least probably not in the sense that you mean. My idea of a successful life (for want of a better word) is to treat others the way I would expect to be treated, make as minimal an impact on the planet as possible, and to respect other peoples' choices in their lives.

In my (sometimes not so humble) opinion, one excellent way to help 'The Cause' would be to join an organisation such as NORML and to start campaigning for cannabis law reform. Hey, maybe you could encourage your friends to join as well. The war against the drug war will be won by a lot of little people joining together to create a large, influencial force that government must listen to.

Cannabis law reform is not hindered by a perception that 'no-hopers', 'deadbeats', or 'losers' are the only people that smoke. It is hindered by archaic drug scheduling that puts cannabis in the same category as heroin.
That same category makes it next to impossible to carry out serious research into the medicinal benefits of cannabis for humans. If there were not so many restrictions placed upon scientists working with cannabis, we would most likely have seen much more convincing evidence of its medicinal value and most likely some serious reform to current laws.

I'm currently about to enter the 3rd best school of medicine in my country, I've also been able to keep a 3.8 gpa throughout high school, all this while smoking having a social life, and taking care of 2 special little girls that bring me presents every 2 and a half months.

Just keep your schedule in check and have a watch with you at all times hehe, minutes can turn into hours really quick.
