I know I will prolly get laughed at this question but I was wondering if there was anyway I could add like vanilla extract to like water like 2 days before harvest or spray it on the buds while it was drying just curious is anyone has tried this before,

First, you dehydrate your plant for about 3 and a half days. No water (unless you live in the desert and its over 100 degrees daily, then you would just skip 1 day), Then soak your plant soil ( not saturate) with flavored water about 3 hours before harvest. You can use about 1 tablespoon of real pure (not imitation) extract per 5 gallons of water as a general guide. Use more or less to suit your taste. Do not use too much extract, as it is alcohol. You can also use mint oil or oil of cloves (which tastes like crap). I pour my solution on at 12pm and then harvest at 3pm. Since the plant will be air drying, I could care less what the flavored water does to the stalk. Probably invite mold lol. My personal favorite is bubble gum flavoring (used by confectioners). But I have heard that marijuana really loves to soak up citrus flavors, orange working the best. I tried orange both extract and juice. Both work well. This year, I am using both lemon and lime extract to make it taste like a 7up.

I use my McCormick extracts every feeding from veg to flush.
This time around I have Strawberry Dreams using McCormick's Natural Strawberry extract. Like above said, it really brings out the floral aromas of the plant and if you use UV during flower...but be prepared if using Vanilla, Almond, Clove....shit will overpower you every time you walk in grow spot!!!
Don't use extracts for specific strains that have their own unique aroma like Diesels, you get product with a weird, dank basement/armpit stink!! Weird but been doing this since the 90s...

Plants don't just take up whatever you put in the soil like that. The roots are a barrier and as such take not the whole of what you give them but selectively take compounds out of the water. Maybe look at making some extracts that feature whatever you're trying to flavor with?
