Making the bitter bittersweet

Hi all.
Make some sugar cookies from canna butter. I like bitter tastes, but these cookies start out fine taste wise, but leave a bitter aftertaste. I realize it's common and it's not too awful, but I would like to try and make them a bit more palatable to my friends who don't like the taste of weed.
I'm thinking of putting some royal icing or dark chocolate on top.
Thoughts and personal experiences welcome. I have 80 cookies, so I need some help. Thanks.

Lately, I've been using butterscotch morsels for sweet flavor rather than dark chocolate. Just a taste opinion you can say. There are many other things like mini MMS that look neat. Use the imagination and left overs.
