Hi everyone.
I am about midway through my second grow after a very successful first grow that netted 3/4lb of nice Skunk and White Widow bud.
This time its 3 Purple Kush from ILGM and 1 Alaskan Purple Auto from Seedsman.
I had 4 Purple Kush but the one DWC something was wrong with it. Either the new Salt Line from Element Nutrients or root rot got it but the leaves were growing very small and the old fan leaves got brown and discolored. So I pulled it and planted the Alaskan Purple Auto in its place.

Top Left in first pic is Purple Kush in a custom organic soil I made. I'm using Dr Earth Organic Cannabis feeding schedule using dry ferts, Pot of Gold and Metabolic Transformer.

Bottom Left is Purple Kush growing in a Coots Mix variant organic soil I made and just watering with regular tap water. She gets 1 tsp per gallon of recharge once a week.

Top Right is the Purple Kush in DWC using Maxibloom Lucas Formula. This one has grown very nice and if I use DWC again I will use Maxibloom again. Also use 2.5ml per gal of Hydroguard and 2ml per gallon of Calimagic.

Bottom Right is the Alaskan Purple Auto. Its 3 weeks from seed so far. Measuring about 4.5". Its planted in 2 different homemade organic soils I made. Bottom 1/2 is a slightly hotter mix I made for photoperiods and top 1/2 is the Coots mix variant I made specifically for Autoflowers. Only going to water using tap water ph'd at 6.5 and recharge every week.

The Top Left is 16" tall has been LST'd 2 times. She is roughly 28" X 28" X 16"H
The Bottom Left is 14 1/2" tall has been LST'd 2 times. She is roughly 2ft x 2ft x 14 1/2"H
The Top Right is 18 1/2" tall has been LST 1 time. She is roughly 28" x 24" x 18 1/2"H20220123_111822.jpg

Man they are growing fast, Seems defoliating made them have a growth spurt.
Im not flipping them till Monday. The biggest is now 22" tall. I can go as high as 48" then I wont be able to keep the light 18" above the canopy then.
They are growing about 1/2 to 1" a day and the DWC girl drank 1 gallon of 1100ppm nute solution in 24 hrs.

Overhead shot of the grow tent. Just changed the light schedule this morning. The DWC lady is 2ft tall now. So she'll either be 3 to 4 ft tall in a couple weeks. Time to make purple flowers. :weed: :hump: The autoflower needs to hurry up its getting cramped20220130_063816.jpg20220130_063753.jpg

That DWC plant is going to be so damn huge but it's awesome. Loving the updates. I think the 4 x DWC would be killer for you. RDWC you gotta add chillers and all sorts of stuff. Looks like you're having great luck without any of that.

Yeh the DWC is working out great. The organic soil is real easy. I have everything for RDWC no chiller though. It's really cold here in Virginia now. So I can keep that room at 65 to 70F. The water Temps are spot on 69.5 in the tent. If I use the 27 gal reservoir outside the tent it'll probably be a little colder. I can always set it up with just water and check the Temps. Although this grow will probably not be done till early April so it'll be getting a little warmer then.

Or I can do 2 to 4 DWC in separate buckets. Might be safer in case something happens to one of them.

Thanks. Now it's flower time which is supposed to be a real beast for nutes and water intake.
The stretch is going to begin:grin:

Yeah I would do 4 x DWC Buckets in that tent at a time. Be ready to support heavy branches once them colas form.

Day 60
Temps 78F Day. 68-70F Night
Humidity around 60%
Flipped the tent last Sunday.
In the first week of transition.

The girls were already preflowering except the small Alaskan Purple Auto. Although she is picking up pace. She's 14" now. She grew 4 inches in the last 48 hrs. That soil should be good enough for the whole grow if an autoflower.

PK DWC is 28 inches and looking wonderful. I trimmed the bottom 1/3 of her to allow energy to focus up higher at bud sites. 2 days later you can't tell I defoliated her.

PK Dr Earth is 24 inches tall and covers 4 Sq ft in that corner of the tent. The LST made her into a perfect square. I'll use that tomato cage LST technique every future grow now. Pistils are starting to form deep within the bud sites.
Hopefully snowballs will appear in 1 to 2 weeks.

PK Coots Mix is 18" tall. She is the shortest of the 3 PK bushes. I used straight water for 7 weeks. Then I decided to use Fox Farm nutes and Recharge to make sure she makes it through flowering. I'm using 20ml Grow Big and 20ml of Big Bloom. I'm following the Fox Farm soil feeding schedule with just the 3 main nutrient line products.

We are starting the flowering period now.
The Alaskan Purple Auto has exceeded my expectations in being able to grow and start flowering in time with the other Purple Kush photoperiods. All the girls are forming budlets now. White pistils starting to show in the budlets. They all are still stretching as well. I put a layer of horticulture sand on top the soil grows because the fungus gnats were getting on my nerves. I don't see any of them after a few days so hopefully they died off and the larvae suffocated.

The DWC grow is just incredible. I am definitely thinking of going 3 or 4 DWC after this grow. Still determining which strain to grow after this. I got some Nirvana Aurora Indicas I'm thinking of growing unless I can get ahold of Red Hot Cookies seeds.
