But the airflow...

Lol, I can't make good joke arguments, it's too early. I did give my plants dresses once, heavy defol up top but left it a solid layer of leaves towards the middle/bottom. Didn't want to waste light.
Fuckers don't get it

Where does photosynthesis occur?

Where are nutes stored?

What is a reservoir for water, so that if your plant runs low on water it has a backup.

What do you use to diagnose plant problems/defs with?

Could it be the fucking leaves?

Yes, it's the fucking leaves!!!!

You win the "I'm not a total dick" prize

So, let's cut them all the fuck off, right?

You know who cuts leaves?

People that vote/like/love/emulate Trump

No one else is stupid enough

:)

i do top plants which isn't defol. and i will remove fan leaves that are resting on other fan leaves to avoid mold.

but i don't see the logic of removing leaves just to have the plant regrow leaves.
Same here.

I mainline when I start from seed, so multiple toppings. I also cut the odd fan leaf that covers bud sites.

Since this is a Trump thread, I’m wondering which of the Trump family members “defoliate”. Ivanka and Melania almost for sure.
I’m thinking Don does too because he’s supposedly a germaphobe and “foliage” could trap germs.
Donny Jr. probability defoliates as well, his frat buddies would have convinced him that everything looks bigger when defoliated over beers and lines of coke back in college.
Eric is not intelligent enough to use words as big as “defoliate”. But let’s be real, it’s Lara’s call. If Lara tells him to go scorched earth, he’s on it.
Torn on Tiffany, but she’s probably a heavy defoliator, maybe leaves just a few leaves on though.
Not gonna speculate on Barron, but others are free to weigh in

You will like California much more than Canada.
As long as he doesn't mind stepping over the hobo's/walking through the tent cities/burning alive in forest fires/ rolling the dice on whether or not you're going to die in an earthquake or shot in a crossfire between the Bloods & the Crips/getting tossed in front of a train by a madman or woman/getting tased or choked or both & then getting shot by a copper/eaten by a shark or poisoned on the Dim Sum you got from a cart in San Francisco's Chinatown.
Oh, almost forgot!
The highest concentration of COVID in this Hemisphere!
What's not to like?

I’d take my chances. Give me San Diego over Winnipeg any day if the week.

just to have the plant regrow leaves.
A pot plant has a finite number of leaves, once their gone, their gone.
Air flow issues?/get a fan
Blocks bud?/pull the leaf back exposing the bud (not needed really/enough light will penetrate)
There are NO GOOD REASONS!!!!!!!!!!!!
Save your time/smoke one instead :)

See above:
Donald might have a golden horseshoe up his ass, but Rudy, Meadows and others don't and the only way out for them would be public testimony against trump, a confession of the conspiracy and big lie, even making PSAs repudiating the big lie to help mitigate the damage they did. It would be the only way they would get a deal, the feds already have the facts and a ton of evidence, public testimony against Trump and a confession would be the price.

It might be harder to convict Trump in Georgia, than in NY or Washington and the jury will be closely scrutinized for fanatics during selection. I think with the evidence they have, it is possible to get a conviction in Fulton Co Georgia, we will see, cause they might be the first one to get a criminal crack at Donald. In any case several republican Georgia officials will have to publicly testify against him and it will divide the state party and cause chaos. If he is tried in Georgia it will probably be on TV, so the nation and world get to make their own calls too.

Let's talk about Trump getting convicted....
Exactly.

Trump cannot be convicted this year. Boring people like an earlier poster who mindlessly drone "can't ever because he hasn't yet" are prisoners of the moment. As Beau points out, a third of the US jury pool is never going to listen to recordings or see evidence without their preconceived belief sealing their minds away from the facts. That would be today's situation. The situation will change as more facts and testimony are produced by the committee. Maybe in two years, the situation will be different. Maybe in four.

The goal of the Jan 6 commission is to uncover all the evidence, all the plans, document all the actions and who did them so that lawmakers can craft legislation so that it can't happen again. Well, guess what? They can't pass that legislation until enough authoritarian radicals are replaced with people who can see the facts for what they are. So, can't convict Trump this year and can't pass new legislation this year. This means 2022 elections are critical. That's where the Jan 6 investigation can help. Get information out to the public. Get high level Republican insurrectionists to incriminate themselves either at the hearing podium or in court. Get some to flip and use them to tell their own supporters the story. We don't need a landslide in 2022, we need to hold the House and add a few seats to the Senate and then the field is clear.

But there should be no hurry. Most important is to realize nothing of significance will happen this year even if a smoking gun is found among the evidence and testimony. Most important are the political objectives for Democrats be achieved. IF Republicans should win control of Congress, we will be stuck with them but Biden will be able to stop them from chiseling away at the foundations of our democracy. The can't win long term. The only way they can win is with a knockout blow. Avoid that and do good work in investigating and communicating the workings of Trump's party leading up to the insurrection. What we need is timely progress and good hard work from our elected officials. The ones that aren't q-tards, that is.

I don't think he comprehends much of anything!

Trump has a sort of animal cunning.

He tore up hundreds of pages of presidential missives and had thousands more burned.

He assigned others to do all of his most nefarious deeds, he breaks the law in full view which makes what ever he does "acceptible" and admits guilt in public, each time he does, he gets away with it and it passes into the memory hole without correction.

And he knows his followers love him for it. These are acts of perverted genius.

Good argument & is one way to approach the destruction of Trump & the GOP
I think another approach could be a focused attack not on Trump, but on the entire RNC.
Now is the time to really show/point out the hypocrisy/depravity in general in the GOP, not just Trump, but his entire party.
They right now are self-destructing, showing everyone that they are Trump and it wouldn't take much effort to drive home that point.
Trump will always have his base so they don't matter & but the Republicans are not exactly popular now.
That should be pointed out from now on until the midterms
Focus on the assholes that are Republicans (there is no shortage of them) & tie them directly to that fucked up Party and interlink them so everyone thinks all Republicans are assholes.
Fucking attack all of them now & make Trump good for something, the desruction of the GOP.
