Northeast USA Recommendations

I'm starting to consider next year's grow, and need some advice. Does anyone have any outdoor strain recommendations for growing in the Northeast? I'm very open to any suggestions and my only real concern is that it's an early budder; the last crop took forever! Thanks in advance, and stay puffin'! :joint: Peace.

Whoops, I thought that was obvious, but I guess not. My bad! I'll be starting inside then transplating outdoors shortly thereafter. I'll edit my first post.

You could try Big Bud... it gives decent yield, pretty decent potency, and a relatively decent time for harvesting (8-9 weeks flowering).

I've been reading about Big Bug, so that's definitely a consideration. Some friends have suggested Northern Lights, as well. Good pick?

Short season up there. Make sure you start your plants indoors and don't put them out until the last frost has past. After that is all about location: Water, sunlight, ect.

Plant a hybrid for a slightly shorter flowering period but still similar yield to a outdoor pure sativa. Greenhouse makes good haze that does well outdoors. Nirvana has some good options too. :peace:

I grew bigbud this summer with great results. Big thick buds and the taste isn't all that bad. I even harvested early due to weather conditions. Also look into some Skunk and Purple strains.

I just harvested my indoor grow, some Kush #1, Blue Cheese, and one Northern Light. (I always put 1 NL in the mix). There's a lot of great strains out there but for consistency, imho.......Northern Lights is always an incredible buzz! You've got a while so take your time and I know you'll get a ton of great suggestions from other folks. Good Luck! :peace:

I have heard that Northern Lights is one of the sickest strains EVER! I've never grown it myself, but if I were able to try any strain it would be the orginal NL#1, I heard that it is pretty difficult to find with all of the other strains out there now, NL#2-5, so, but if you can find it, try it and keep me posted, lol.

Also look into Wonder Woman, big yields, super potent and only females... Can't really complain about this strain.

NL is SO easy indoor or out and really great smoke too. I've known a couple of growers in upstate NY who always had a portion of thier crop planted NL because it was so reliable. I just found KC brains NL is in stock at everyonedoesit dot com for less than $20 bucks w/shipping!

Thanks for all the input, everyone! This year I used some bag seeds, but they didn't get a chance to bulk up too much because of the early cold temps by my area. I'll continue my research.

I live in north eastern PA and theres alot of old coal hills from old mines, would it be ok to grow in the coal or just grow in some pots?
