I'm doing something a little different, bubble hash mixed with cob

My cob is at almost 4 weeks of curing, but I'm going to let it go to 12 full weeks. If you've smoked this stuff you know it's like smoking wood pellets, but with much better taste and effect. I have some crumbles and I got the idea of mixing bubble hash with the cob. So I started on about 4-5 oz of lesser quality (tastes like ass) weed, no trim, to get the bubble hash. Any other ideas? I cobbed about 5 oz; looks like wooden dog turds. Insert Cheech and Chong skit here about Cheech following his dog around for 3 days, collecting his "stool samples" to recover his weed.

I guess I’m an idiot but what is cob?
Not at all an idiot!! It's something that most people have never heard of. You wrap up fresh cannabis in corn shucks (find them in the Hispanic grocery section), really tightly, then vac-n-seal them to ferment for a week. Yep, fermenting, just like making kimchi but not nearly as tasty. Wrapping it tightly and cinching it down even more with the vac-n-seal creates an anaerobic environment, so mold and other toxic little fux don't ruin your product. It takes 12 weeks of curing, opening it up and letting them dry for a few hours each week, then back in the vac-n-seal for another week of curing. I assume that the moisture finds it's equilibrium during the week. I'm almost at week 4 of curing. It doesn't hit as hard as a bong or pipe but it tastes really nice.

Interesting. I'm following along the journey.

they do a similar process with certain types of pipe tobacco. never seen it done with weed. is it a potency or flavor thing? a storage space efficiency thing? do you put whole bud into your corn husk or do you break them down?

I would call em sheesh kebabs :D

I would say the best things about it are that (1) it tastes super mild but nice, and (2) it gives you a unique stone that doesn't mess with your mind; it leaves you very clear-headed, yet very creative for me. It doesn't matter about the bud, but I broke it down just so I wouldn't have stems in it; I don't want to be smoking stems ("No stems, no seeds that you don't need... Acapulco Gold is baaad aaaaaas weeeeeed." Yeah, I'm high AF).
