Reverse osmosis filter in loft

So.... I got .750 ec water at the tap... I have beep using a hose from the bathroom to fill a tank in the loft which has been fine but the high ec of the water is something I need to fix.

I have an ro filter in the kitchen for drinking but it's a small tank and takes a long time to fill up.

I have a pump on the way.... so my options are as follows....

1 boost the kitchen ro filter and pipe the output water into the tanks through the house to the loft or alternatively use buckets... fml... no way

2 get a second ro filter for the grow and feed water from the garden hose up the side of the house into the loft and filter and then into the tank

3 continue to use the hose from the bathroom to fill up one tank and then use the ro filter and pump to suck from one tank into the other (I have 1 250ltr and 2 100ltr tanks up there.

I'm thinking option 3 but can the ro with pump suck without any pressure?

In option 2 can you feed a 1/4 pile from a normal screw tap?

I use a 20 gal tote with a ball valve installed on it, for a holding tank with airstones, in my growroom. I fill a 4 gallon bucket with the ro water. It takes 2 hours. I keep the tote about 2/3's full at all times.

So the tote is a source tank? And it fills a bucket?

Sorry I don't understand.... does it still come off the mails pressure?

No. I fill it manually by bucket, and use it for storage. You could run a line from ro filter to one, and put a float valve in it.

They have RO kits on amazon that include a float valve and everything you need except a tote to use as the holding tank

You can plumb a 1/4" line from the RO to anywhere you want I ran one to the top of a 55gallon water barrel and was able to suspend a small float valve inside to control the topoff of it. The barrel is on a raised stand and put a ball valve in the bottom with a hose connector to control draining. Always have 50 gallons of RO ready to go and it can refill at it's leisure. If you are doing a lot of water an inline permeate pump will up the output and efficiency with less wastewater generated as well.

Tie into the clean water line coming from your existing water treatment filter to the tank, run that using 1/4" water line to your loft into a 1/4" aquarium float that will stop the water from overflowing. You can use a Brute 20 gallon trash bin or something of that nature to fill, or just a tough bin. Once the tank fills it will shut off the water and your home system will still function normally.

Also, check out growonix ro filters. They use 50% less water and have very high flow rates.
