How's my setup.

Ok all my stuff is coming in the mail and I wanted to do a final checklist on my setup and cross it by everyone.

I'm going with an ebb and flow system using a 18 gallon tub as my reservoir and a 2'x4' tray as my planter with the plants themselves sitting in potting pellets, also have a aquarium pump to enrich the solution with oxygen. At the moment I'm only using this one system but as soon as they're almost ready to flower I will be building another ebb and flow :D.

I purchased a 1000w eye hortilux bulb with a sealed fan cooled reflector and got a good deal on a decent ballast on ebay, and the best part of all (SEEDS) I got haze 19 x skunk off nirvana simply because it looks amazing.

MY MOST IMPORTANT QUESTION`-`-`-`-`-`-

I got dutch master FOLITECH grow and flower, has anybody used this and does it carry all the essential nutrients? if not what else will I need?




all of this is SUPPOSED to go in a 2'x7' closet lol, meaning I might have to saw off the frames to my door as they make it 22 1/2 inches

With all this in mind I hope to have an absurd amount of dank buds in a couple of months :bigjoint::eyesmoke:

you might need a bigger area for one.
never tried the folitech sorry.
but i use nutrients made by bloom and that stuf works pretty well.

Sorry Boob i never used it but my hydro shop sells it and recommends it. 1000w is BIG for a 2x7....I hope it all works out for you. Will you be able to move the girls after a few months of veg? I mean with any type of stealth?

Ok, i am going to assume your using ebb and flow as a term for flood and drain. For what your describing you will need at least four watering cycles per day. You will have a logistics nightmare.

Thats interesting, it can't be the entire list. If you are going to put that 1000watt light in a 2' by 7' closet you are going to need 3 seperate air handling systems, PERIOD. Check that out first. And you are going to need a lot of height in that closet, let me explain. Your 18 gal res is about 15" high you table is 7" and you have to have room between them, a 1000 watt light needs to be about 3' above the plants too start with, the light fixture will take up about 2' of space at the top of the closet by the time you get your air handling installed above it. Anymore space taken out and your plants are going to be in the hole. The light with hood is about 2' wide both ways.

You have several issues to deal with here, none of them really matter if you are serious about that time frame, that is not going to happen, Period.
They take that long in flowering and you haven't planted them yet. So you would be transporting live plants to the new place, not too mention the mess at the old place. VV:eyesmoke:

Yes that's correct a flood and drain system, am I missing something crucial because my system is set up very VERY simply. It is an 18 gallon reservoir attached to a 2'x4' planter with a exit drain and with a pump attached to a timer to flood it with my oxygen enriched solution 4 times a day.

Yes venting is a huge problem and heat is why I cant flower in that closet, for air circulation I have Three oscillating fans and a centrifugal fan to extract the warm air. And I have enough vertical clearance to keep the plants a constant 3' from the tops of the plants at all times.

I think I can manage for now, and worst case scenario I wait until I move out :( . Which I do not plan to do!

Hah I will try, I'm thinking get them when they're sleeping and covering em GENTLY with trashbags and transport.

Moving them is not that big of a problem and of the plastic containers that are deep enough for you to put the cover on will be fine inside a car. I just took 24 clones on a four hour ride and they did fine. I don't think your missing much, I did though. When you said 2 of those tables....I have one that size for my mothers. You do want to figure out which side to put you fittings in.
When some folks reefer to Ebb and Flow System they are talking about one that use a controller and a reservoir, much more complicated than the flood and drain.
You might want to just get a couple of cheap floros to start those seeds under. I bought some I used at Meijer for $12.00 including the bulbs. You would save that in electricity in a month.VV

Yes I see there is a difference now, I have a basic flood and drain.
Looks like i'm going to have to make a decision, as I was going to buy a bong tomorrow because mine broke or get some floros.

I'm getting the bongbongsmilie, the 1000w will be as far as possible from the seedlings.
