Thats true however my setup is a
nursery with flouro, 400w MH veg and 1000 HPS flower

I germinate in paper towels and move to solo cups to sprout. If I keep the solo cups under the 1000w the soil dries up overnight.

Try this, get rid of the paper towels...........

Try this, get 2 solo cups, drill holes in the bottom of one and place it inside the other one. Put soil in the cup water and plant the seed one inch deep. Use 16oz or larger cups and you shouldn't have the soil dry out. You can also put a little extra water in since the other cup is there to act as a reservoir. You should be fine.

I do the same thing with the two cups works great! I start in the paper towel and use a cocoa plug soaked in PH'd water with 1/4 strengh nutes.

I assume you've had good luck with 1/4 strength nutes ? I stay away from nutes for the first few weeks due to the fact nothing ever sprouted when I tried nutes in the start.

I'd like to hear more about your opinion on that.

I'll take a look at your journal and see if I come up with anything.
