Recommend fertilizer for Veg stage

Seriously though, sure I might use DE on an edible product like cucumbers, tomatos or zuccini where you could easily wash it off the fruit, but we smoke bud, and it's sticky so can't be easily washed. No thanks to DE on cannabis for me.

Hey guys new grower & was wondering if anyone has any good fertilizers they use for veg stage ? My plants is turning a yellow tint & it needs some nutrients ! Would love some input !! Thank you

I'm a fan of dry organic amendments. If I was you I'd get Dr. Earth All Purpose, and Flower Girl. Then top dress that pot with a little All Purpose.

Then when you get better soil you've already got your nutrients.

Super easy way to grow.

What about tobacco where it's regularly used to fight pests in storage? How about livestock? Are you vegan? Livestock consume DE and then you eat them.. Do you wash off your meat first? Get over it.. DE is safe and used all around in agriculture. EVEN FOR SMOKING. Especially when it's food grade and all the negative stuff is removed.

I was actually trying to give you the benefit of the doubt when I saw others dissing you. But I can see this is a waste of my time. You do you man.

I'm just making a point. Everyone jumped on me saying it's unsafe to use which it's not but sure they can say the dust can irritate your lungs but you don't apply dry amendments or handle fertilizer with your bare hands either.. In the same way you don't use DE in a fashion that kicks up dust clouds to breathe in. The point is products have instructions for use and knowing how to use what you're using matters and if you don't know it probably makes sense not to criticize others, who do know, as if they're doing something wrong.

Tobacco? I don't smoke the stuff, it's bad for your health. I also don't smoke livestock.

We're not taking about killing bed bugs nor does a grower go spreading the dust all over his or her home. The grower eliminates the dust before use.. Well some of us do..

Three part systems are great if you don't mind mixing little bits of each in different ratios along the way. But take note that they're totally easy to hang yourself with with misuse. You really want to look at feed charts and such and make sure you're aware how they work and what you'd need to do to be successful with them.

I recently moved from using the 3-part General Hydroponics Trio to their Maxi line because it's way easier to just weigh out one product per feed and use it. Also, when you're using a 3-part and need to cut the amounts (and you will, because most company's schedules are too strong), you'll need to do some math and figure out the appropriate ratios and all that.

The other big reason not to use diatomaceous earth is the absurdly high arsenic content. There is only one DE product listed in the CA heavy metal database (for obvious reasons) and it is listed as having 188 ppm arsenic-https://apps1.cdfa.ca.gov/fertilizerproducts/. A little DE sprinkled on top of your soil is enough to potentially fail a heavy metal test if you are a commercial grower.

Yikes...that's alarming...and I'm certainly not a must-be-organic-natural person either. This doesn't sound like the kind of 'better living through chemistry that anyone wants. There are other effective pest control regimens that don't involve applying arsenic & lung scaring materials to your soil.

So a fair amount of measuring/mixing no matter what.

Yes I ordered that huge bag of epsom salt I haven’t used it yet because I’m scared lol not sure how I should use it I just watered my girl yesterday she’ll need it real soon again in a couple days.

I've been using about half a gram once a week, but if you're seeing deficiency, I'd do a gram per week or so. Of course your water and your feed may suggest different.
