An inch of DE??? Wow, I bet you have DE all over your flowers just from drift, and then when the bud is smoked, people are likely inhaling DE and damaging their lungs. Yikes!

I wonder what that "RESiLIENCE®" stuff is. I'm guessing that it's some sort of ph buffer since there's no lime in the mix. I'm probably stay away from that stuff personally.

I don’t have it in coast of Maine.. I wanted to get that soil. Soil I am using now is just regular star green soil from lowes

Absolutely not. I take it you don't wash your DE or perlite before use? That way there's no dust left.. Maybe you should take more care?

I used DE once on houseplants, and I won't do that again. I'll leave it for outdoor usage. It's great to sprinkle around the outside of the house to keep all kinds of critters away. But I'd never use it without a mask.

I don't use DE, I really don't have a need for it. I've used it in the past, not a fan. You can call it dust if you like, but the diatoms are tiny and will still blow around a bit when it dries out, even if you can't see them. I also have been using rice hulls instead pf perlite lately, much more sustaianable and also less expensive. I can get a 50lb bag of GMO free rice hulls for $10.
Nope, no nasty pesticides here. I rarely spray with anything, except an OMRI bacterial based fungicide, or maybe an based spray if there is an issue, but my predator mites have been keeping everything at bay for a while now.

That's why billions of gardens use food grade DE you do know the difference right? I would bet you eat food regularly that has utilized DE in its lifecycle. Don't tell me you were not using food grade DE? I'm guessing you were just being snarky..

Of course he's talking about food grade. Doesn't matter. It's hell to breathe it in. And it kills beneficial insects. He's already mentioned he's got predatory mites.

You sure are presumptive aren't you? Yep, I know the difference between, and always get food grade DE from the local health food store in bulk. It's great for dusting out pet beds with.
Since you are already filling a 10% layer of your pot, maybe you should just do 100% DE in a hydro system. Just fill fabric pots with 100% DE, and set it up for ebb and flow. (now I'm being snarkey)
