New weed grower
Well-Known Member
This is 6" tall and 18 days old. Auto skywalker haze. Should I LST her? First time grower so everything is new. I am limited with height space so thought LST would be useful.
Does this look like a ok start?i start as soon as possible. i am 15 days now but i have 7 tops now

Looks good. Do what you feel comfortable with. You'll notice the low part start reaching back up to the light in less than a day.Does this look like a ok start?
i would just watch out for that knot you made when she gets fatter that knot will get tighter you will make a bottleneck
Ok, lucky you said that I wouldn't have thought of that. So redo the knots every few days or is there a better method of tieing her down more safely?Yeah that. You think you'll remember to loosen them, but you won't.
Thanks done a bit more after. Feeling quite chuffed with myself nowLooks good. Do what you feel comfortable with. You'll notice the low part start reaching back up to the light in less than a day.
I use green garden wire tie. I just make a generous loop where it's holding down the branch. I re-tie down as needed to keep it low.Ok, lucky you said that I wouldn't have thought of that. So redo the knots every few days or is there a better method of tieing her down more safely?
Yea ok, makes sense not to do the knots to tight. Thanks fir your helpwell you can make a knot but leave a lot of space inside the loop. you just need the edge to hold her down. i use S loops for my LST
Ok, I think I'll get some of that. Seems like that would be less of a concern than my simple knot method. Thanks for your helpI use green garden wire tie. I just make a generous loop where it's holding down the branch. I re-tie down as needed to keep it low.
It's extremely cheap for the amount you get. But the trunk/stem or whatever is tied down can still grow over the wire if it's tight.Ok, I think I'll get some of that. Seems like that would be less of a concern than my simple knot method. Thanks for your help
Makes sense I suppose but I don't like having to transplant them, especially auto's. I hear they don't like it. I plant them in their final container from day one.Why don't you guys just transplant them at an angle? I've seen it done that way.
I transplant all my plants including autos. Autos will handle transplants just fine as long as they are healthy.Makes sense I suppose but I don't like having to transplant them, especially auto's. I hear they don't like it. I plant them in their final container from day one.
you are making her strech with puting the top main branch leafs al in the shade, why dont you tie her lower soo leafs can turn up the same dayLooks good to me.

Damaged so many leaves using those sharpe ass bread ties, later switched to soft wire ties.
