Get lights, some dirt, a hose and a big ol' bag of seeds. There are a few other fancy gadgets that people recommend, but whatever. I don't even know what most of that stuff does. Anyway, just put them together in a pot and bam, a sea of green gold. Simple. You owe me 50K.

If you've never grown, and expect to bang out 2k sq ft, good luck. Before you dump 20k, I'd start a little smaller and not have grand visions. Equipment is cheap around here on FB market place because many people thought they could throw money around and magically get a room full of buds with no work.
Good luck "starting" your first grow with 2000 sq ft!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have to have a business plan for 2000 sq ft facility. Plan on hiring several people to run. Just trying to get an idea on where to start. Looking for recommendations where to find this information or people willing to give an informative answer.

The 1st guy you hire should be there with you mapping all this out.

I’m doing my research and asking for recommendations and advice on where to start. Nothing wrong with doing your due diligence and asking people that should be able to offer advice on an area they should be familiar with. You have to start somewhere. I obviously was mistaken and entered the wrong forum for advice and information. I will definitely seek somewhere else. Thank you for your input.

If you have to ask where to even start you have no business opening a 2000 sq.ft. facility.
Asking this question anywhere is pointless.

People are hired for things like this. Knowledge and experience costs money or time, and apparently you aren't willing to spend either.

Even if someone here had the basics to give you the you'd still be lost as a beginner grower. You'd only have more questions.

It's like asking a mechanic how do you swap an engine but you don't even know what a wrench is.

If your in Mississippi and own a building already I might be interested. I don’t live in Mississippi but that’s about the only market id be interested in opening a legal facility at the moment. I can set it up and run it no problem. Assuming your building doesn’t need a ton of work.

This is not something you want to undertake with minimal knowledge. You will get taken advantage of. Your cost for a legal facility can easily hit 100 dollars per sq ft or more. And the market is super competitive, there is a learning curve, and prices are always going down. Even if you don’t need a partner you will need a consultant maybe even a couple depending on the legal side of things.

Hit me up in the dm.

Not only do i concur what everyone is saying. But in order to even breach the market, and make/ have an impact would be to develop or acquire killer genetics that no one else can get, or has. As a starting point, doing your DD, and writing down your plan is an awesome start. But at the top of said list should be to hire someone or a company well versed in that world. At 2000sq is what 50'x40'? That's a lot of lighting, hvac systems, your overhead will be nuts. I'm thinking an easy 150k plus at the end of the day will get you running a suitable facility, will it be cutting edge? No.

Your putting the cart before the horse in my honest opinion.

Not sure about a wrench but pretty sure a ratchet is just bigger than a mouseshit
