Jar Curing?

1st time harvest, I plan to cure in jars after drying would it help to use those little fresh packets that you sometimes get in the jars When buying or better not to use them?

Boveda threads always turn into war zones. They work great though. The haters will hate.
they're ok, i use them at the end of the process when i have the rh just about where i want it, but they don't seem to do much if you put them in the jars too early, they just get water logged and then they won't work till they dry out a little

Just my opinion, they're best for long term storage but if anything are "wasteful" in the immediate cure stage unless something went wrong, like you dried too long/too fast or something. Otherwise, if everything is done ideally, you should be above the typical RH threshold inside your jars anyway, which is partially why they (may) need to be burped 1 or 2x daily.

What I like doing during jar cure: once or twice a day I'll tumble my jars on their side, open em & take a fat whiff, close, tumble again & back on the shelf. That's it. I test them by flipping the jar upside down; if they fall as one big "clump", they need to keep being burped. After 2 or 3 weeks of this, when flipped upside down, the buds noticeably fall more freely & at that point daily burping can stop. This is a tricky method because some buds are just way more ridiculously sticky than others, but after a while you can tell the difference between "sticky clump" and "wet/moist clump".

not straight away buddy. 1stly after drying and the twig snaps close to like a biscuit, put 2 tiny hygrometers inside your mason jar. 1 at the bottom. Fill up your weed just up to 75% full (not all the way) and then put ur 2nd hygrometer on top of the weed. You want the humidity to stabilise between 56-62%. If it goes over 62%’take it out the jar for 30 mins and lay the weed on cardboard in the dark to dry a tad bit more. Now put back into the jar. Keep doing the above until the hygrometers sits on around 56-62%. then ur curing will begin without the risk of mold. The tiny hygrometers are ur life savers..
