First time grower here so please be gentle I've got a 250 watt cfl blue spectrum and a 600w hos I understood the 600w hps was for flowering and the cfl for veg can I mix the two of these together heat isn't a problem from the hps the plants were clones from a friend and have showed only a little growth since transplanted after they were rooted successfully so just wondering if the hps would stretch them out to much or keep them small and keep going with the cfl until flip time any advise would be great as I am brand new and need to learn everything basically thanks all,GIA

Thanks for that someone on a different post has mentioned the mh bulbs so going to look into them also makes sense one for veg one for flower without running multiple lights

How many plants are you trying to run?

If you switch at flip be prepared to leave that HPS light as high as possible. That’s quite a change in light intensity

There's 7 plants in there and it would be a 400w mh for the veg if going that route and 600w hps ballast can take 250w to 600w so could even go lower for the hps if needed but I've got enough height to raise the light

400w MH for veg and then 600w HPS for flower? Sounds perfect. I would give it a week or two before you switch lights after flip to help control the stretch a little.
