Did I get mold while drying?

This is my first grow and my first dry, I've been trying to stay as close to 60/60 as I can, the plant was hanged since 4 days, since yesterday it's reeking of a chemical smell, when I sniff it it's like I'm sniffing a chemical in a lab or something.

I'm not sure if it's mold or just genetics, I tried looking under usb microscope but I couldn't notice anything abnormal.

All pics attached are of the same bud, the main cola. I pulled it apart in order to have a look inside.

Your ok. They do some weird changing of smells when drying. The smell may disappear for a while, but it will come back. Your doing fine

they dont look moldy to me, you would notice mold if you saw it under a microscope

Would be good if you can post microscopic photos.
But that white stuff definitely looks like mildew, because there's too much of it on the leaves, some patches are extremely white and it's not uniformed.
And some parts are black, looks almost rotten.
It could be milky trichomes but it's hard to tell, and i honestly doubt it, they don't seem to reflect light like proper crystals, it just looks dull and white.

Was it this white before drying? Do you have any pics from the plant when it was alive? And what strain is it?
Describe the smell a little bit better, is it like ammonia/cat piss/moldy cheese?

I think he just took close pics with the flash on making it looks covered in a white dust

Yeah I think it looks alright. That bud has a pretty airy structure also which makes it way less likely.

when I’ve gotten mold it didn’t show up til like 8-10 days in although I’m sure it can show sooner.

It started inside the buds, a few looked Ok until I pulled them apart to check. When I broke it up there was like a webbing inside that would stretch a little bit.

I highly doubt you got mold with buds that loose.

You're thinking about bud rot.. Mold and mildew can show up even on leaves.. Especially if the humidity meter isn't accurate.. That's why i use at least 3 humidity meters in my tent

Damn, I was too. Usually it's concerns about bud rot at this phase.

Those buds are too airy for bud rot, but it definitely looks like shit ton of powdery mildew

No, I'm not thinking of bud rot, I'm talking about post harvest mold that can happen when you have really dense flowers. Buds OP posted should have no issue drying at 60/60.

PM doesnt grow and spread on dead plant matter either.
