get an aquarium thermometer to put in your resevoir. Maintain the temp between 65-68degrees F. Temps above or below will prevent the uptake of nutrients. A room maintained about 75 will keep the water in a res, sitting on the floor at about the 68 mark. In summer months, a 2 liter pop bottle filled with water, capped and frozen solid will keep your water properly cooled.
