This is why I trim my bush

Some ask me why I trim my bush... I know many here prefer un-trimmed or “all naturale” and that‘s great, but I never cared for an unruly bush, so I trim my bush & I trim it high & tight.
Reason…I use an RDWC with 4 plants in a small 3 x 4 tent so the growth is out of control. If I don’t trim, theres just no way I can cram 4 plants in that small space without running into trouble. Once I lollipop everything below the SCROG, all the energy & growth go straight to the remaining branches & colas. Air circulation & lighting are more efficient. If all goes well, I should pull over 3lbs from this mini grow.
These pics are just a few days apart…right after a major trim & just before I flipped to flower this week. Let the budding begin.
Yours truly,
The Bushwacker

I try to keep my bush trimmed but it’s like so hard to control. I totally agree a nice trim job is where it is at and yours look fantastic!!! I wish mine looked so good.
Thanks! I‘ve got it set-up on auto-pilot because I travel almost every week for work, so I just add water & nutes once a week, trim as needed & hope I don’t come home to a dead crop or a small flood in the basement.

Why do use the lower lights if you strip everything? I imagine you don’t get any bud under your nets and the top lights look like you have good penetration on the bush.
That canopy will get so thick from topping & Scrogging in a small tent with 4 plants in an RDWC system…the bottom of the buds are so much thicker & healthier with the lower lights. No more thin, whispy leaves & buds…plus I still get huge popcorn buds below the canopy.
