We got some crazy critters in OK, but I've never seen one of those. Our main creatures are caterpillars, spiders, scorpions (by the truck load), mosquitoes, no see um's, the occasional prehistoric looking demon bug, wasps, flys, B52 Bees, Grasshoppers, ticks, Yelowjackets, more scorpions, Tarantula's, Black Widows, Brown recluse, jumping spiders, barn spiders, crab spiders .... when Im mowing against a tree line in the evening, im covered in spiders... fuckers creep me out, but ... I gotta get that lawn mowed.

A bunch of those guys are good predators. I had ordered the Minute Pirate Bugs from Arbico, but then thought it was probably a bad idea to release them in my bedroom grow areas, lol. So I cancelled the order. The girl on the phone agreed it was a good idea to cancel it, :wall:

They're also called no see um's, but they charge a lot for those suckers. You could turn your shit into a predator bug company and really make some $.

Yeah, I don't bother them much... except when a Scorpion runs under my feet and I spot him... dead. Wasps.... I've been stung in the middle of my back walking out the front door. They set up a nest, and I hadn't walked out my front door in a smooth minute. I always tell Paige, It's "Scorpion Awareness Month".. from May to Sept. I've been stung a few times. No big deal unless you're allergic... stings like the devil for about 30 seconds, then it subsides. Same with wasps. ......and Fire ants.

Ive learned in 21 years out in the country that an IPM is crucial to keep these fuckers at bay. I've also learned that if we have a drought, spray extra, they're looking for a cool spot.. and that's in your house. In a drought, and after spraying, I may blow 25 dead ones out of my garage once a week. But! we've had good rains since 2013, so I may see only 25-30 during the season. Not so common in town, but I live pretty remote, and in the woods........ and housing is not cheap hear anymore. I built my place in 2001 for $136K all in on 12 acres.. now the market is about a Mill. for what I got. 2 homes now, and 2 shops and a turnkey 1400 sq ft grow op.. I may fully retire soon. Market sucks anyways.

Sprinkle DE around your house, or where you don't want scorpions to pass.

I get this stuff on line called CY Kick... they may make it 5 ft into the garage..... dead. It sucks all the moisture out of thier soft underbelly and kills them.
