We grow our own romaine for Caesar salad’s and a variety of cherry tomatoes.
Works great for stout leafy growth.

Never tried to flower, but my marigolds did start to flower under them.

I currently enjoy using a mars sp3000 for flower and now I’m trying it to reveg clones.

Plants seem to take off right away after the t5 veg.
I still like using the t5 because you can put them right on top almost touching leafs.

How's the SP3000 so far? I've got one too, but this is my first time trying it. Today is day 79 since flipping mature clones.

I base it on ppfd measurements. For early veg I shoot for 2-300. I ramp up from there. Typically by the end of veg/beginning of flower the top of the canopy is seeing 450-600 depending on the strain. During peak flower I'm usually at around 850 to 950.

I've gone back to t5s for clones and mommies too, led's require a lot more tweaking and checking my meter to keep them looking optimal.

I'm not sure. I like it was just called LUX reader or something. Works good with my Samsung S7.

I use a 6 strip/sunboard fixture with a HLG-185 driver for veg.

On the lowest setting plants are practically at a standstill yet still lush, green and healthy. Seriously I had to turn it up to get my plants going. It’s perfect for a 2x4.

I only used CFL's as supplemental lighting in flower many years ago. CFL's are so bad for the environment and everyone should consider retrofitting t5 fixtures with LED's.

Yes I still use T5s I've a 4 tube maxibright lightwave and 4x nlite singles between them they're my early veg seed/clone and mother lighting during autumn/winter/spring outside of summer led doesn't produce the heat I need for acceptable temps with so little wattage.

Yeah you just screw together and connect the wiring. It’s best to pre-drill the screw holes, it helps to keep from boogering something up, this aluminum is soft.
Edit to add: This comes as a kit.

I’m really considering buying 8 new bulbs for my 1.8x4 8 tube t5 HO by Hydrofarm. My dinosaur. I have 15 of these actually. I got first dibs on a raided home and police didn cut any cords at all. I even got over half lb of wax from a purging machine they never even opened. Lol. Good day that was. Anyways. I used these things for a couple years ina row. Never flowered under them. But my clones rooted faster. And veg was healthier under these lights. And the spread seems like it would fill a 2x4 very nicely. 2 of these will veg a 2 door closet full. Facts. But I also thing my watt from wall is 438. And it can only be ran at 50%. Which is 4 bulbs and not the entire 8.

Lol I bought my hlg 550v2 off a dude who was running them in his autoshop as lighting. He gave up on growing and didn’t know what to do with them.
