First grow, custom growroom

Hi, guys!

Just wanted to share, my growroom and first grow setup and get some feedback.

So i built a small insulated room in my attic. It's been 2 weeks since I planted the seeds and day 5 since the sedlings popped out. So far they are on a 18/6 light schedule and places in Root Riot plugs fed with water only once per week. The dome stays on and the humidity is 72 to 95, temperature doesnt exceede 27c. Still I wonder do they look good or are they too stretchy. Oh, the back row is basil and some other herbs in the other trays.

Thanks guys in advance, really enjoy the forum!

Mine are on day 4 since popping & half as tall as your longest one. This is my first grow, so NO idea whats normal.
This is normal.

The OP's on the other hand have some pretty good stretch. I'd either turn the light up or lower it. Though, the OP can certainly bury those stems a bit and they'll root out further up and that'll save the day. ;)

Thanks, guys for the feedback!

Lowered the light and they stopped stretching :)
Tomorrow I'm Going to replant the ladies in soil and losing the dome! The roots look nice, long and white, but it's starting to look like they need more nutes and some air circulation to toughen up the stems. What do you think?

Those are suffering from the dome. Cannibis doesn't like constant high humidity. It can cause fungal disease. Up pot and lose the dome. Good Luck with your grow.
Thanks! Will definitely replant them, bit nervous about that! I will be replanting them in solo cups with a soil mix and I'm wondering - do I give them nutes right away after replanting or plain water? Also, I was planning to add mycorrhizae to the roots before putting them in the soil.

Don't worry about transplanting,as they are in cubes .You just cover the cube with your new soil.I could be wrong but I would prefer to have something bigger than solos to pot into.Im an outdoor grower though.im into doing less ,not more.GL.Very light on the nutes this early.Soil should have enough for a couple weeks.

The really interesting part of this thread that i missed until now was "I built a small insulated room in my attic"
.. YOU CAN DO THAT? I've got a huge attic thats either way too hot, or way too cold. Are you telling me i can build an insulated room within that?

Yeah, I mean, I haven't really grown anything decent yet, but I built a frame from planks and OSB and insulated it with polystyrene and put some radiant barrier foil, and closed the gaps with spray foam. The real advantage is that I built the room over a outgoing vent pipe that comes from my bathroom to the roof. I use the vent as my intake (also added an intake fan) so it blows fresh air from the inside of the house and that alone keeps the temp at approx 23° C (73.4 F). I was inspired by this epic attic right here!
