Our air conditioner broke and it’s going up to 104 in a couple days.
the a c company isn’t scheduled to come out until May 31st. I guess we need to get a large room fan or something. Lots of electrical issues with this rental. I have an application for another place can’t wait to move out of this house Because our landlord is a jerk and a cheap fuck and a dumb ass. He is a fucking liar. I better get my deposit back.

The a/c guy came today by surprise and fixed the a/c. I did a massive defoliation today and have more to do but i managed to wiggle my way inside, under and all around the plants to take off a lot of leaves and was able to expose some very raw light green bud areas . It’s about this time when I would love to take off the scrog frame but will wait a bit more.
we did a full flush and rez change.
the smell is very fuel citrus smelling.

Thanks, it’s been a very easy grow, besides how difficult it is to move the 1 gallon Coco plants back into the right corner of the tent and onto pedestals to get them up off the floor and as close to the net as possible. A couple more weeks and I should be done with most of it. The chem dawg will take the longest to finish .

1 question though not being an arse. but why don't you let the screen fill the whole way or 75 percent before u flip lights?

I veg 5 weeks. This takes too long for me as it is . You , out of any particular grower that I know on this site , realize how painful it is it endure waiting so long. Now I just need to find some good fast high quality auto seeds from a reliable source and get my act together. Why would you think your being an arse asking that question?

I got an email from MSNL with a sale on high thc autos today . Tempted to purchase a pack $100 is kinda steep . I don’t know. payday is tomorrow and I worked a lot of overtime… so… I might be feeling a shopping binge come over me soon. They even throw in a couple Northern Lights Autos and that was a very nice kicker because I love Northern Lights . Thee other 3 in the pack sound like very yummy too.

So much defoliation the last few days…
Now I can really see the shape and form in length of 48209603-D1EF-4F1A-8091-825DE674B32F.jpeg8DC38825-C80D-444E-8DDF-ED9919754DA1.jpegC562DC8C-6CCC-4F4D-87FA-8C17871BC2B6.jpegthese Chernobyl flowers so much better.
My new Filter is not up to the job of filtering the smell. It reeks in my house with the tent closed and filter fan up high. I won’t be getting these carbon filters again from AC infinity.

I checked the Trichomes on the older Chernobyl and not quite there yet. This is only the end of week 7 flower so I will wait one more week for her. It’s weird but looking at the other plants and how much they lack Trichomes I am very disappointed in them! Especially the wedding cake that I don’t think is a wedding cake. It’s a complete embarrassment of a plant .
What is this ? Don’t know if I can count on MSNL anymore. 89DF3C08-20D0-44E7-9413-E89ABFBF4078.jpegAD504B43-92BB-413B-98F8-F525F0F721A4.jpeg

Plants looks awesome bro, healthy and vibrent
but when it comes to high potency medicine you need wattage ;)
i think your light is too weak for a 4 x 4, also from the pics i see you hang it at about 16' which is too far for 400w no matter LED or HID
(maybe HID will somehow be ok for those that are under it)
Most leds require less then 6' height to perform well, depending on sqf
It looks like you aimed for more yield then quality with this set up,
try cutting the sqf in half and leave the same lights and move them closer to the canopy, also dont dim them, only when they are seedlings cut them by 50% down but after a week or 2 when they are going strong kick the light back to 100% or what ever current you find high and efficient with your LED

I hardly think it was the genetics, just lack of intense light

Thanks. Hanging the light 15 inches is not to far. Your wrong about that. That’s actually too close. The light is pretty good and was recommended for a 4 x 4 tent.
i have a lot going on in the tent so I understand how this can confuse you.
the 2 large scrogged plants have been in flower now for 7 weeks. They are my main project here and are given optimal grow conditions. The other 3 plants I have , i concider “bonus plants” and just not that serious about , kinda just seeing what I can do with the extra open screen space that won’t be filled with the large waterfarm scrogged Chernobyls.. Those small ones are one gallon coco plants that were started a few weeks later than the Chernobyl and were started with 12/12 from seed lighting so they basically never vegged.

so I have 3 coco plants which have not been given the best grow conditions because they are sitting under the scrog screen and Yes, they are further from the light than I would like. that Might have something to do with how poorly the wedding cake looks but that’s like no wedding cake I have ever seen… Luckily the Northern Lights 1 gallon coco actually looks really good and I will show you some pictures of her later.
The Chem Dawg is way way behind them all.

15' is far, for LED its very far, i would not go above 6', even higher watt led fixtures recommend a 4-6' height.
400W, no matter LED or HID is not enough to cover a 4x4 with good ppfd avg, just reality, no way around it.
I dont think you can get "Too Close" in terms of light, sure heat will be a problem when u go too close but in theory if you can manage the heat it will always be good to give more light, especially when using LEDs
The sun is over 2000 umol and if we are lucky we are hitting half of that on avg

Your Correct!
15 feet is way to far.
perhaps you need so clarification here.

Thanks, dont take my words too hard
I tell it as it is, from a light science pov, if you are having good results then its all good
i have a 2 X 780W LED QB inside a 4 X 9 tent that im testing right now, and yes it is about 6 inch from canopy
i live where it is illegal to do what we here in RIU do, so ill rain check the pics for now

Good luck. You are as close as the manufacturer suggests . They say 6-24 inches.
So watch out for this . It’s not the heat but the overload of light that might stress your plants .

LED Light Burn / LED light stress

BEECB037-D3DD-4318-AD98-DC5DCD645712.jpeg
LED light burn / LED light stress
On the image above you can see LED light burn / LED light stress on cannabis leaves.
Get your LED grow lights too close to your cannabis plants and you may see light burn on the leaves. This is a yellowing of the leaves caused by excessive light intensity. But because the best LED grow lights produce limited heat its possible to get the LED lights close enough to cause light burn to the leaves even with cool air temperatures.
This means the leaves will not experience any heat stress, but they are overloaded with light. This causes the leaves to fade, with yellow appearance and green veins. The leaves may well have brown tips which looks like nutrient burn. If uncorrected, light stress will stunt the growth of your plant. The best solution to LED light burn is to move the LED further away from your plants, and if you have adjustable light power then reduce light the intensity as well.
With LED it’s important to keep the correct distance between the light and your plant. Bring your light too close and your plant will suffer light stress which can cause a variety of issues which will slow your plant growth and limit both yield and quality. LED light burn / LED light stress is a relatively new issue for cannabis home growers, but its important that the issues is well understood if you are to get the very best performance from your LED grow light.

a few nugs and accidentally cuts while defoliation of so many little leaves.
Some more Trichome inspections.
The dense Trichome nug is quite difficult to see any ambers. It’s a snowy mass of white. The flower has more ambers. Bagged them to dry and looking forward to sampling soon.
