I sprouted one bean from Mr Nice of their nl x afghan. I'm so happy she's treating me so nice already. Showing sex after 1 night of 12 12

Had to take a picture and see for real, make sure I wasn't crazy! so I figured I'd share it :blsmoke:

That's a cross after my heart. I'm going to grab some of the purest indica and NL#5 x Hawaiian Lights from Authentic Genetics when he releases the purest indica later this year. I'm a big NL fan.
 
I don't get it. Northern Lights comes from pure afghan to begin with (11 plants named 1-11 grown by "the Indian", with #5 being the most popular). It was later mixed with Thai sativa by Old Neville to create NL haze. Is it NL haze cross Afghan? If not It's just inbred Afghan crossed Afghan.

Gets so confusing these days.

At this point it's about getting as close as you can I think, to the great things of the past. AG has what I'm guessing is the closest thing to pure NL that I'll ever see. Their story sure sounds believable and the plants look just like I remember from back then so I'm hoping they deliver. Northern Lights was the first really killer weed I ever tried. A buddy smuggled some back from Amsterdam and gave me like a gram. I'll never forget the taste of it, compared to all the crap I'd been smoking up to then it was in a different world. I'm really excited for the purest indica as I love heavy indicas for sleep and pain management.

For sure. I have seen apparent "100% Afghan IBL NL" that have clearly had massive Thai influence. It's always good to have a pure line, but it's nearly impossible these days.

If you like pure indica and want something to breed with, check out khalifa genetics. They have 100% Balkh and Sheberghan landrace collected from source.

Thanks, those look amazing. I love the hash plants from that region especially if you can find a strain that has fruity terps and still produces a good amount of kief. I haven't had a chance to grow many of the true ibl strains from there yet but it's a goal of mine. A friend up North is big into them and makes wonderful hash from dry sift. Appreciate the tip on that strain.

I'm keen on trying their indicas as well. I ran their Moroccan beldia outside like 2.5 years ago and it was far better than I expected for landrace. Some of the nicest hash I've had period. Grew like a large dick of bud as well. Satellites that hug the main stem from bottom to top. Would be amazing for a SOG.
 
I just have to find the time to run everything I want to run. We have a four plant count limit and it really kills me when I find something I really like because I have so many seeds I need to run just sitting around yet if I find something really special I want to run it again which means putting everything else on hold for another 10-12 weeks. I shouldn't bitch, it's a great thing to be legal and not have to stress about smell and power usage and lights being visible from outside like the old days but it's easy to get spoiled. Hopefully when they tweak the law for retail sales next year they can improve the plant count at least for medical patients. I hope for everyone, but medical would be a start.

A "friend" ran Todd's Hawaiian Lights x NL#5 (Purest Indica x NL#5) x NL#5 (Authentic Genetics) an he is pretty proud of one of the pheno's

Looks great, I'm waiting for my tent to clear out and then I'll pop a couple of Purest Indica seeds to run with some clones I just took from this flower run. Hoping for some classic smells and effects.
