How Much?

Indica vs sativa is dying bro science. I'm not sold on the terpenes causing an entourage effect either.
Also, sativa and indica are used incorrectly. Sativa was first used back in the 1700's and was used when referring to Hemp. What most people call a sativa should actually be called an indica and what is called an indica should be referred to as Afghan.

I've posted this before but nobody seems to have much interest. Most cannabis growers prefer to go by what they've always known rather than how things should be.

This taxonomy makes much more sense than the silly narrow leaves = sativa and wide leaves = indica. I know people will never adopt this naming of cannabis since science is something many refuse to believe. But if anyone bothers to read the paper It's quite interesting.

Sativa = hemp or NLH "narrow-leaflet hemp"

Indica, wrongly called sativa is NLD "narrow-leaflet drug"

Afghan, wrongly called indica is BLD "narrow-leaflet drug"

As can be seen sativa was initially used for naming hemp not narrow leafed plants that get you high. Unfortunately there is so much bad science surrounding cannabis that years ago some stoners started using sativa and indica incorrectly and it's stuck ever since.

Swedish botanist Carl Linnaeus, the“father of modern taxonomy,” first published the scientific name Cannabis sativa in his seminal Species Plantarum of 1753. The Latin name Cannabis derives from Greek (kannabis) and may have been originally derived from Scythian. The term sativa simply means “cultivated” and describes the common hemp plant that was widely grown across Europe in Linnaeus’ time. We, the authors, consider C. sativa to be native to western Eurasia and especially Europe, where, for millennia, the plant has been grown for its strong fibers and nutritious seeds,

Or maybe you just bought into a myth, and placebos work well enough to keep you convinced. Go do some reading, kid.
I agree that there is some hype in the dispensary scene with indica sativa. And most everything available or grown commercially is a hybrid or indica leaning hybrid. It has “supposed” sativa lineage is probably a crock of shit.

But if you know the source and pay attention you can find a true racy flaming sativa. And there isn’t much of a comparison

I agree in that statement generally. Thc and cbd are just that regardless of the plant it comes from. But their are so many chemicals that interact with our brains in cannabis that we don't understand yet and haven't been studied. Maybe we shouldn't say indica or sativa but land race. It doesn't make sense that a sativa or indica (land race) by genetics produces less or more of a less studied compound and how it affects us? That in turn causes the different physical affects of different strains? Now I'm really asking and looking to try to maybe learn something today ...

I suspect that people harvest sativas early and aren't getting the full effect. They get the rush of changed chemistry, but the "stone" never sets in. I say this because I get the short lasting rush effect from premature buds I accidentally pop off and dry.

What's the flip side of this argument? Theirs no point in growing different strains all weed is just weed, we are just thc hunting? I thought that was bro science? Lol. Again asking not attacking bongsmilie
Terpenes equal flavor. If you really like the smell / taste of the OG Kush profile, go with it. Also there are clearly differences between strains growth-wise. You can grow some Big Bud if you want a large yield, or some GSC is you want more frost.

I agree with all that. I can't not however say honestly that all weed makes me feel the same, and the depending factor is the quantity smoked. I still have to disagree

Also I think the entourage effect works as a placebo, but that's fine. The term "placebo" has negative implications, but I think it's cool how your mind can affect how you perceive, and even alter, the physical world.

I mean like isn't that basicly saying take any weed, study it to know content, let a patient smoke enough bud to get 50 MG worth of thc. it will feel the same on the body regardless of plant smoked?

I think you have to be told that to ever think that.

If you smoked up your grandma who has no idea about anything weed related, she would say she feels "high." If you asked her to describe the sensation, she would probably list a mixture of mental and physical effects.
