This is my first time seriously trying to grow I have one plant I started from a seed I’m growing it outside in a pot regular organic potting soil some perlite I am adding worm castings to it And transplanting it. It is five weeks old I just fimed it I noticed the point of the middle leaf on the bottom three original leaves about a 16th of an inch turned brown I was wondering if there’s some type of deficiency? I live in Florida the sun is hot and it gets at least nine or 10 hours Of direct sun a day. I keep the soil moist But not soaking wet. Wondering if the plant looks healthy and if you can tell if it’s female or male? The little bumps are starting to pop up in the nodes but not quite yet enough for me to tell. My buddy turned me onto this site and said there’s a lot of soild people that can give me great advice. Thank you in advance

Hard to say. Wait for a white pistil to show or multiple balls to know for sure. “It” looks healthy :)

Do not chop that down. I have seen plenty of plants that have Characteristics that may look like a male however have turned out to be female. Wait it out
