Is this a mutation or am I doing something wrong?

Hello. So this plant is 2 weeks old. I noticed that it is leaning to the side (although the lights are close to it), and I noticed this weird shape of it's leaves. Does anybody know what this could be?Screenshot_20220608-195228_Viber.jpg

An unhappy plant. Get it in a bigger pot of something other than a peat puck and a half filled cup of something that's too wet.

Good luck

Don’t cheap out on soil in cup - that medium doesn’t have any perlite ( aeration / drainage ) and is literally just on top of soil.

Either top off cup or transplant it up to stem.

Plant is unhappy as stated.

Thanks everyone for the feedback. Yes, I also thought that the soil might have been the problem. I thought the peat pellet gave the aeration needed though?

I now realised that I made mistake putting it in a smaller cup (as it would have been done if it were a normal photoperiod variant).

I have a question about transplanting it now though; won't the additional stress be even worse for the plant? It is an autoflower.

And for the question about the holes on the cup - yes, the cup has drainage.

The plant was progressing fairly good but this happened in around 2 days timeframe. I already lost one plant so hopefully I won't lose this one too :(

no, anything but stress, the plant will love it, and plant it up to the first set of leaves, that stem is week.
get a small fan blowing onto it, the gental movement will help keep the stem short and strong

Sometimes I don't even know where to really start. Maybe, what kind of research have you done on this topic? Seems like your winging it

Maybe a good old-school grow video like
george cervantes ultimate grow part 1 would help you with a knowledge base to build on...

Thanks for the feedback. I'll be sure to check the resource you recommended.

I have tried to do as much reading as possible and also checked many youtube videos on the topic but it still is quite much to learn.

I am following an article written specifically for autoflowers that mentioned that I shouldn't use any nutes until I transport it to the final pot and that would happen at around 2 weeks (now). So far what I am doing is keeping the temperature around the 20-26 celsious and RH around 60-80.

The bulbs that I use are 120W of CFL and later I will change to 300W LED. The distance from the plant is around 15cm (I did the temperature check method to decide on the distance).

I also have one fan blowing air towards the plant. The watering is as I mentioned, when I feel like the jiffy is dry.

From what I notice the whole plant looks quite mutated - one leave is 2x the size of the others, the bottom leaves are wilted while the upper ones look healthier but some are curling upwards a bit.

I just transplanted the plant to the final pot and put it in a dark period so it doesn't experience too much stress. Overall the roots looked healthy.

I think that should wrap it up. Next I will try applying a bit fertiliser (I got the biobizz trypack package).

Hope that helps with the diagnosis.

Hello everybody, I wanted to do a quick update.

So, after transplanting the plant I think it is going better. It still seems not to be growing taller though... do you think the stress damage was permanent? It's her 20th day of growth (from germ to now). I'm trying to keep the temps do 26 degrees with around 60% humidity.

I appreciate all feedback
