Is this bacteria dangerous for my seedlings? Please advise!

Howdy all, second time growing, first time posting here.

I recently made the transition to bring my seedlings from my germination light box into the tent. During that transition I placed the rock wool cube into hydroton (which had been washed prior) and several days later I began to see this buildup of black specs around the rock wool. If it is cause for concern, is it too late to transfer the seedling from the rock wool to soil? Any advice on this front?

Here are pictures:
Additional dilemma: Somehow, I placed two seeds into the same rock wool cube, and one sprouted shortly after the other did. What is the best way to preserve both seedlings and their roots? Can I safely plant them in soil instead? Please advise on the best way to go about this.

Also, can rock wool be placed into soil. If so, will the seedling grow as it would in the hydroton?
Please advise! :-)

The roots are probably intertwined separating them might do them more harm than good.
You would risk both of them, you could just cut one down and keep them in the cube.
What grow style of hydro are you using?

Hi Billy, thanks for the response.
I don't know what the name would be for the style. Probably a deep water culture? To describe it: The cube is situated in hydroton which is submerged in water contained in a 10 gallon bucket. At the bottom of the 10 gallon bucket there is an aeration cube pumping in oxygen to ionize the water.
So your suggestion is to cut the smaller of the two to save the larger?

What are your thoughts on the bacteria buildup on the cube?

No i would advise against cutting up the cube because you would more than likely damage both root sets pretty bad.. also ive tried that set up before and while the plant did survive it wasn’t optimal compared to the ones i had in hempy buckets..
You want to have water splashing on the stones to keep them moist from the bubbles till your root system is protrudinge the net.
If you have a couple more stomes or perlite on hand id give hempy buckets a look..
Have you grown hydro before?
