The fishing thread ( not about fish fertilizer)

Given the right conditions I like to fish wasp/beatle grubs off my fly rod/line,
I use a spun/coiled piece of nylon whipped to the hook to hold the grub without bursting or killing them, it's reliable but a little fiddly baiting up.

That gadget @ANC posted looks like it could be ideal, does anyone know what it's called?

I don't eat many but my mum and dad enjoy them so I bring quality fish for them.

I love salt water fishing. Inshore and offshore. I usually take a trip to Milwaukee for the salmon run. I'm surrounded by many lakes but burned out catching typical fresh water species

But that hat
Idk it works for him . I couldn’t pull that one off though. Need the locks

The hat is a Canadian made Tilley Mashup Airflow. Made from hemp, recycled yarns, cotton, polyester and rayon. Floats and guaranteed for life. Purchased in BC.

The locks I've earned - it's been 850+ days since my last hair cut.

Found this ID chart. Maybe it's a white bass, not silver. Biggest I've ever seen. Didn't weigh it though.

Nothing for nothing but that doesn’t look like our white perch either. Ours are a pewter to almost black with nothing for distinct markings. I’ll try to find a pic representative of the ones we get. Best freshwater fish for table imo

I was looking at my back catalogue :-)

And I've a few perch in it.

There's some perch pike in a Loch me and few others have a syndicate on.

They're more of an annoyance, I'm primed ready to tighten into anything and a damn perch touches my fly i can't help but lift/strike.
