You are conflating political ideology with economic ideology. Fascism or communism are one party states where there is no democratic input, constitutional guard rails, or the rule of law and parties are paramilitary organizations. Liberal democracy means freedom under the rule of law and constitution with independent courts and other institutions like a free press. Trumpism is trying to destroy or undermine all these institutions, as do all Authoritarian fascists. That's because they represent minority rule, they are losers, know it and need to cheat to attain and maintain power, every election cycle they grow fewer in numbers.

The portion of that law which prevents the guilty party from becoming president has already been declared unconstitutional. The Legislative branch is not empowered to set the criteria for presidents. The Constitution sets the criteria. The legislative branch may impeach and then remove a president from office. That is the Legislative branch's Constitutional role they have in determining fitness for a person to be President.
