Used lights that Im seeing on FB kijiji etc are half of new.LED. So $250 gets a good light that has 1-3 grows on it.
Used HPS ballest and reflector ,dimmable kind $50-$100.I dont think their selling though as adds are up for a long time.

Yeah and I’m the pope
and even if, for 600W it wont be that much, also it probably went long days beeing a Auto.
lots energy spent on.

ROI for my Led fixtures was less then a year for the complete fixtures only over the saved electricity, which is about 35$ cent now over 40 cent.
using them for 3years now, would had been a 12 400W HPS bulbs also.
i have to give up growing in winter anyway or it ill be a fortune to heat and in summer leds are perfect.

Yessir!.... a tent grow should be more enjoyable. The most stressful part about commercial is making sure you never have pests, keep it sterile, don't burn your shit up, you get to week 11, and then it's harvest (I hate harvest), then you gotta move the product in a saturated market, make sure all your paperwork and reporting is correct... complete pain in the ass.
Paper work? Reporting? Snicker lol. Ya that would suck.

Listen.....I'm in no way putting down LED's. Some of the nicest grows I've seen here and elsewhere were under LED's.

For the most part, many have been SCROG's and SOG's, or grows that all the plants are at the same stage. The downfall of LED's for years was the lack of penetration...hence SCROG's and SOG's.....where it works well.

I run a perpetual.....plants at various heights and time in the room in 12/12. I don't manipulate or top my plants and let them grow out naturally. I may be the laziest grower here. I've perfected doing the very least while still getting decent yields. I typically have about 30 plants in various stages of veg/flower......and I probably spend a little over an hour a week tending to them.

My quoted $100 monthly electric cost isn't just for the HPS's. I have 3 6" inline fans, one wall fan, one floor fan, numerous clamp fans, and at full-tilt I have 22 T5's running. To balance this out.....my monthly nutrient cost is less than $10 a month, soil is $40......and that's it. All-in-all I do very little, spend a relative small amount to bring in about a lb a month. I can live with that.

I have ran HPS 1000 watt for damn near 20 years back when the ballast seemed to weigh a 100 lbs lol but I am still running 5 1000s at the moment and I do have heat problems, but the grass is still exceptional when it's all said and done.I was going to switch to LED this year, but seeing how I have made it through another hot summer, come on winter I need to hook up my other 5 1000 watters in my basement and rock this bitch once again! Maybe this summer I will switch

Yes I love my LED people too, I just don't have a grand or better to buy 1 top of the line LED.When for the same grand I can buy 8 or 9 1000 wattdigital HPS. It just doesn't seem equal at that rate to me
