When I had my first e-bike 20-years ago (that's right folks, 20-years ago), it was just a 600 watt hub motor connected to a thumb throttle, powered by SLA batteries (big and heavy). The thing would still go 20 mph without peddling. I bought one for the girlfriend (now wife), and an electric scooter too.

Still at $350, that's a pretty sweet deal. That's about the same price as the aftermarket exhaust I want to get for my gas bike. How much more was the battery pack you got?

This also went up a few bucks, but not much, and I have been really happy with the battery. I probably have about 30+ miles range with no pedaling, and it is hilly here. Seems like an honest seller. My charger died and he replaced it under warranty, which I believe is 2 years.
