I understand he claimed their losses on his taxes, $10 billion worth, he had no loss he went bankrupt and would never pay the money back. I've also ran my old mercedes on Biodiesel, but waste veggie oil is different than biodeisel. Smells like egg rolls as you drive down the street. I sold my 300TD wagon last year though. I got tired of diesel life. I wouldn't mind getting an old 240D again though and converting it to have a secondary tank for veggie oil, for Armageddon planning and stuff.

i tried to explain to my 10 yr old how a diesel worked and told her it would "almost" run forever if given clean fuel.
those old MBs around here are going for a premium for the reasons you mentioned

I haven't collected veggie oil to burn in a diesel for around 20-years, but it seemed like a better thing to do with it than just let it be dumped. I had a pretty good system with a battery operated pump, but it was still kinda messy. Definitely less messy than cleaning porta-potties though, if you wanna talk viruses and diseases. Not too many viruses in waste veggie oil really.

Sanders is known for being fairly rigid about his political principles. The trouble is that he does not recognize that a key such principle is solidarity, especially when it is getting plainer every day how seriously the republic is under threat from fascists, both foreign and domestic.
Being a much-needed voice in the wilderness for social democracy is not something I hold against him. Being a divisive force in the party - now is really not the time. Later, when we are not manning an anti-maga bucket brigade, we have the luxury to have a serious discourse about rolling back the damage done since before Reagan, and perhaps moving on to sell voters on social-democratic ideals whose time has almost come.
So, he is open to charges of being what Leninists termed a useful idiot, abetting the authoritarians by drawing votes away from the only bloc big enough to counter what the GOP has become. That picture of him wearing mittens and a pout at the inauguration underscores the problem.
