CURING (for newbz)

Ok I'm drying still (Day #11) & some of the smaller buds have snapping stems. Should I go ahead & jar those up, even though bigger ones aren't ready?

Also... I'm going to try Ball Jars for the small buds & a Grove Bag for the bigger ones.

Any tips on Jar Curing? Just throw the buds in, seal top & lift the lid once a day?

Thanks & love 8-)

Starting with drying procedure: grab the lowest bud on the stem (or if the plant's hanging upside down, the highest bud, lol), if the bud pulls cleanly away from the stem without any "stringiness" of the main stem, you should be good to jar stuff up.

Jar curing: what I always do after buds are trimmed and in the jar. . . about once or twice a day, flip the jar upside down, if the buds all fall as one sticky "clump" then turn the jar sideways, tumble it a little bit, open the jar and give 'er a big whiff (this is required, lol!) then just put the lid right back on, tumble again & also flip upside down again, you'll notice the buds fall a little more freely. That's what you're aiming for eventually, for the buds to fall freely prior to burping the jar, usually after 2-3 weeks of daily burping

Burp 2x a day?

Lumber moisture meter is a game changer for drying. Aim for 10-12% trim, put it in the jar, bag, or bucket. Good to go from there, might want to use humidity pack’s depending on your environment if you’re not using the grove bags.

Sweet, they make lumber moisture meters that fit inside a Ball Mason Jar?
