I would think most of us using soil are our own scientific hemp horticulturist ( Wanabe ). In saying so, what I am experiencing is using nutrients that are labeled for hydroponic use. How do you exactly measure what your plant actually needs from a Hi Power nutrient that is formulated for water that has no nutrients and minimal minerals. When your soil has basically the nutrients to start and finish your plant. The general rule with all nutrients that we use is to go less than what is directed on the label and then work up. In my studies I have used quite a few different nutrient makeups for our crops. In my studies for the first three or four tries I ended up burning my plants. And then adjusting from there. Sad thing when we go through all the effort time and money. And trying to keep my pH adjusted in my soil of course you have to start with what you add to it nutrient-wise. I ended up trying Advanced Nutrients three part perfect pH when I started using it I am pretty sure the label just said pH perfect micro will keep the pH of your nutrient solution stable within a range of optimal for nutrient uptake for one week. This product specifically designed for hydroponic use. If I'm correct label did not go on to say anything about soil. And still does not today. It currently says on the label other substrates, but does not mention actually how it should be used. I started using 2 ml of each per liter of water and using it every other watering. As time went on I moved up in the milliliter of nutrients up to five ml per liter. The soil that I have used and continue to use is Miracle Grow moisture Control?. If these ratios work excellent for me with this product, my thinking would be generally the same for other nutrients for Hydro use. ( do not get me wrong, my thinking is definitely not right all the time, LOL!. ) I am starting to experiment with other additives to what I have doing. I have been suggested to try Mega crop. I do not know if I use Mega crop one part and that's all I need to used in general? Or I was recommended to use the mega crop instead of the grow nutrient in the three part A N.? I am going to try that in my current study and we will see how it goes. Also I am going to add Cal Mag to my A.N. schedule. I do not know what bloom nutrient to use when the time comes? I hope this thread pulls a lot of information for all of us. Please share your product use and technique with us. Thank you
