Ethos White wedding -

Here is white wedding nug that’s been chillin in the grove bag. They were jarred for a week or so before moved to grove bag.
Bag is starting to harden them up . I am still puffin away on the CST ( Cherry soda twist ) and will start Tok in on this over the weekend coming up .

There is some purple that my iPad camera just didn’t get right….. deep fruit spice notes assault my nostrils.

I took some clones back awhile ago but only one plant made it. Ph issue with pen fucked them up.
Pen seems to need calibration every time I need to use it. So the hempy buckets ( 2 ) just didn’t recover.
I flipped that one with another plant under 12/12 and will update at a later date.

Thanks to @pop22 / HLG for the Blackbird and chance to field test it. So for now I have 3 harvests done with perpetuals moving in.

Buy a new PH pen it’s cheaper than seeds, time, and effort. Especially if it’s going to look like that nug.

Pens don’t last with me for some reason … *facepalm. I have been using ph drops until i go get another. I had testing solution on hand ( thank god ) but it wouldn’t keep calibration.

You would think that a decent PH pen that is kinda pricey to start with, that they could give us a better product that last instead of try to get you to spend more money. Hard enough to figure out what’s good and what’s not good to begin with!

Blackbird - Saturday update

These are the strains under the Blackbird right now …..
Muchacha F7 autos ( one slightly mutated )
Zkittlez BX2 ETHOS

Berta 2.0 - under Sunblaze lamp. Berta is a NL leaning strain and is a good solid smoke. All of the solos are watered with mild kelp when needed.
They will continue in cups until I decide when to up pot them. No hurry.

Muchacha F7 were originally called Glue Sniffer - something I will have to look up for lineage.
Smell is supposed to be Earthy / Gassy / Coffee.

DTE amended ( recipe 420 / FFOF ) / Dynomyco / pumice / 6-8-4 recipe 420 recharge mix.
No ph tap. It runs at 7.2 / 7.4 mostly - not too hard on soil buffers. I do not off gas water - just make sure it is not too cold before use.
Kelp watering once every other watering as I get dry back from plant. I do not fully saturate container. Only around base of stalk mostly.

Anyhoot …. Loving the blackbird light.

Muchacha F7 - Mutation

Pulled one of the Muchacha F7 ( Twenty20 ) autos for a closer inspection …. And found it with some wonky ass growth.
It seems to be lagging a little but the distorted leaf sets and “ twinning “ growth is unmistakable.
I did NOT top this plant - it was born that way.

The 2 tops are not too bad looking overall but this one will go as long as it continues to grow out.
Not even sure if it will autoflower but we will see. I do have other plants in solos if I need to shit can this one.

Mutation Madness - Comeback Formula.

Welp , I decided to “ improve “ my mutated baby a bit with a product that I haven’t seen too many guys use.

I used to be a fan of Optic Foliar Overgrow ( still kind of like it ) but really like this product too - Bushdoctor Boomerang ( comeback formula ) 2-0.2-0.3.

Plant tonic with EWC , zinc , protein hydrolysate, sulfer , boron and various Glomus myco.

I use as a foliar and it really turns stuff around.

Here is my mute baby today - perky and colorful.



My secret sauce for some grows i do.

I misted all of the girls yesterday and they look great.

Varies to what I have on hand - for example :


Good shit right here - for soil drench too or water mixed.
I add a tablespoon to a spray bottle with neutral bottled water ( I buy cases to drink so sacrificing 1 or 2 ) no big deal.
Seedlings , vegging plants. ( need to use within a few days or it gets skungy )



Optic Foliar Overgrow - RTU SPRAY ( READY TO USE )
Easy Peasy application, loves really love this stuff.

Bushmaster Boomerang ( see above )
A really great overlooked supplement - 1 tablespoon / water in spray bottle.
Need to use in a few days - loses potency if shelved too long.

Garrett Juice - interesting DIY MIX ( found online )
I call it liquid Brawndo lol.

What is Garrett Juice formula?
Garrett Juice Concentrate: Mix together 1 gallon compost tea or liquid humate, 1 pint liquid seaweed, 1 pint apple cider vinegar, and 1 pint molasses. To make Garrett Juice Plus concentrate, add 1 pint fish hydrolysate (liquid fish). Use 2 ounces of the above ingredients per gallon of water for the ready-to-use spray.

Easiest spray - Epsom / water.

Update - Blackbird

Well with the cooler temps - I had some minor slowing of growth. Added more heat to grow area and they are waking up.
Muchacha F7 autos are pruned a little with the “ twin top “ one getting LST. Not too worried about final with that one. Looks cool.

Berta 2.0 NL solo cups will be uppotted shortly. Forbidden Zkittlez was topped and shaped. Top dressed .
They are clawing a little so no more top dressing until they work thru that bit of excess.

I used to use optic foliar overgrow for shits and giggles - when OSH ( orchard supply hardware ) liquidated all their stores , I bought recipe 420 soil and found the left over fox farm stuff ( bembe and boomerang) so I bought a few bottles of each. Boomerang was actually a good “ tea “ / drench and foliar.

I only keep a bag or 2 of Ocean Forest for top dressing only. My mixed soils are based on recipe 420 ( eb stone ) or bhangi mix.
Both work well in a 50/50 split mix too.

Bembe is a sweet junk food bump for myco ( soil / hydro ) ….

Hey everyone! have been laid up with severe back issues. But I just had a procedure called IDET, basically they inject a wire into the disk, heat it up and it shrinks the disk. The amazing part is I am pain free! Totally! First time in 35 years! So my point is I'll be here on RIU to help support all the HLG customers.

A friend of mine has a reisentek trimmer. I wanted to see what it could do. Even if i didn’t have that much bud to even “ buy “ one. It does make them look really good but i am just a home grower so “ bag appeal “ really isn’t an issue for me or wifey. I just cannabrush mostly cuz buds stay with me and my vet buddies care less about looks. I make them tincture most times.
