I just flipped to 12/12 about a week ago. Ive been growing in FFOF mixed with perlite and some coco since day 1 and it's been showing signs of excess N since about week 3 of veg. Everytime I've potted up I continue to cut the OF but still looks a little burnt. Haven't added any nutes yet but then what I've been reading makes me think I may be under watering? But I water every other day or so.

Looks hungry should be a darker green than that . If you haven’t been feeding nows the time to start
Okay.. good to know. That's all new growth on the top but even some of the new growth on the smaller leaves are turning brown right off the bat. Just didn't know if it was still getting too much N from the OF or not.

Its definitely not getting to much nitrogen those are more towards the yellow side which is a lack of rather than abundance of. Do you water to runoff and saturate the medium or just give it a bit at a time
Water to about 10% runoff or so every 2-3 days usually.

Usually 72-80 temp and 40-50 humidity. Trying to get my tent just right so when it does start flowering. But when lights are off 71-72 and 77-80 when on. But humidity usually stays between 40-50 all the time.
I watered 2 days ago. She's in a 5 gallon pot but I checked my holes at the bottom and top of soil is dry as a bone. But I had some overwatering issues early on so Ive been letting her dry out completely before watering again. So maybe it is underwatering. I keep my light on 80% about 14 inches above canopy so could that possibly be the problem?
No. Usually completely dry. I don't add too much coco..maybe 70 OF-20 coco-10 perlite?

So why bother adding any coco at all?
Personally, I'd never use fux farms, but if I did I doubt I'd mix it with anything other than a peat based soiless mix like sunshine #4 or promix hp to 'cool it down' some.
It's really hard to say what your issue is. It's clearly a nutrient deficiency, but what is the underlying issue. Fux farm has nutrient in it so she should be getting food, but she's not. Ph plays a big role in nutrient absorption, so if your medium ph is out of whack then you can add all the nutrients you want the plant ain't getting them and all you're doing is compiling nutrients making a more toxic environment (super high ec) in the medium.
Coco should be treated like hydroponics. Soil is opposite. So you're combining two opposite styles into one pot. Imo, your issue lies in your medium choice. GL
Okay thanks for the info. I have been researching trying to figure out what's the best soil. But I thought I was cooling it down with adding the coco and perlite was the point of adding the coco. I transplanted her to the on November 14th to the pot she's in now and haven't added anything so I'm guessing the OF has maybe used up all it's nutes then? But appreciate the advice on not combining the 2. May just go with happy frog and OF mix next time

Light intensity and distance, drastically relies on your environment and overall plant health. We can both grow the same cut, in diff environments and get diff results. A 'happy' plant is going to be able to handle higher intensity for longer duration than a 'sad' plant. Knowatimsayin

The 'best soil' is whatever works for you.
Things like - availability... Is it easily obtainable in a pinch...
Cost. Is it worth it to buy.
Quality - not getting into it but I call it fuck farms for a reason. Search fox farms...90% of the threads are issues with it..... Herrrrrrrmmmm.
Sustainability...
It also matters what style you want to use...hydro, soil, soilless etc

So saying one thing is 'better' than the other kinda has no merit. Depends how you Wana grow and what's easier/better for you.
But fox farms sucks dicks.
