Need Suggestions please!

I am in the process of getting together a list of strains to order, however I am a complete rookie so I figured I would ask people on here for suggestions on some good OLD SCHOOL strains that are not very common anymore. Or just some absolutely rare stuff that you dont hear much about. Thanks for any suggestions in advance.

There's an almost infinite combination of answers to strains & places to buy them.

Just grab the beans of whatever strain(s) tickle(s) your fancy. Example: I'm currently growing a Durban Poison fem from ILGM, while I still dispute how true the genetics are to being Durban, it's a really nice plant & is starting to develop that nice old-school citrus-pine vibe I remember from my youth. Another example: I'm growing an OG Kush from from i49, another "generic" seedbank, but MY GOD the plant reeks in veg and is just doing amazing.

To get started, just to slim things down, focus on the strain and not so much the breeder or bank. Then, after many successful grows, explore the World for the real deal if you didn't already obtain it.

You could start at the AK Bean Brains thread, and you can order his seeds directly or from seed banks like JBC https://www.rollitup.org/t/ak-bean-brains.1003494/page-173. He has lots of old school stuff, also look into Swami and Hazeman, they each have their own threads too, both have lots of old school strains.

Im not so concerned about the breeders at this current point in time.. I just want to find some super old school stuff from before my time and was hoping to just get the name of some strains from back then since I dont really know any outside of the cliche stuff like white widow.

Dunno what "your time" is per se, but I'll bet AgSeedCo and Ace Seeds will have it. Oh, also check out Khalifa Genetics.

That's sort of where I've been for the past couple years. I've run Tangerine Dream, Blueberry, Northern Lights, Durban Poison, Chocolope etc. And have some Blue Dream, Super Lemon Haze, Kali Mist, Maui Wowie, Lamb's Bread, and a few others. I'm not convinced that some of the 'classics' aren't just modern reads of the old ones, but close enough for now.

Check Ace Seeds. Lots of landrace strains. Old school stuff.

I second the AK Beanbrains recommendation. You will find everything you are looking for there.

Another solid breeder would be Serious seeds. Very stable easy to grow plants with accurate descriptions. White Russian, OG White Russian, Bubblegum, Kali Mist are just a few examples.
