I find it works better at a lower heat with longer time.
Put one of his favorite treats at the top once you let him smell it. Make sure he sees you put up on the top. He'll figure out how to get up there and once he does praise him and give him another treat. After several times of repeating this, hell look forward to climbing up the steps and you can use just praise and drop the treat.No. I traded the nap and punching the munchkin for a drive to pick this up for $10. Still new in the box.

I'd even rub the treat on the steps up. Might get them to check it out and try it.Put one of his favorite treats at the top once you let him smell it. Make sure he sees you put up on the top. I had to have a ramp built for my dog because of his bad hips and this got him used to being off the ground on a couple boards. Good luck with the training.
Much success using the treats. To climb up to a patio chair. I'll attempt tomorrow to move them and try them on the truck again. Which is why I got the stairs to begin with. I was a dummy and didn't have treats when trying the first time. He's got anxiety when it comes to car rides. Including getting in and getting out. So I was hoping this would make it easier in that respect.Put one of his favorite treats at the top once you let him smell it. Make sure he sees you put up on the top. Yeah they're 80 on Amazon. And these fuckers were still new in the box only an easy 20 minute drive.$10 sounds good.

If he's acting anxious let him do something fun for a bit to tire him out some like playing fetch or going for a long walk. Then once he's calm, try again. That will keep him from developing a negative reaction to them. Patience is the key with any training for dogs. Some are really food motivated like Labradors and others respond better to praise like Shepard's and Malinois that have a high prey drive. I had to pick my lab up to get into our Hummer once he got old and I wish I had got some of those steps. It will be second nature for him in no time I bet.Much success using the treats. Yeah he's a 5 month old Cattle Dog mix and very food motivated. Picks up stuff real quick. Just trying to make the car rides more organic feeling or something. Good tip on the tiring him out. Aldi's has these beef stick things for real cheap he loves. If he's acting anxious let him do something fun for a bit to tire him out some like playing fetch or going for a long walk. I would have said a Ridge back and a Corky mix the tail looks like it found a open paint can lolYeah he's a 5 month old Cattle Dog mix and very food motivated. Picks up stuff real quick. Here he is. He's so cute and innocent when he wrestles with his bed!

Yeah, I think the ridge looking thing is him losing his puppy coat. From the research I've done seems the Cattle Dogs usually have the white tipped tail. And something called the Bentley Star in the middle of their forehead. Which is a patch of white fur. I like him. Quick learner.I would have said a Ridge back and a Corky mix the tail looks like it found a open paint can lol
"No, that's odd. I have no idea where they could be."Slipper thief. D: They're still downstairs under that dingus. He just put his whole body into squishing them...
