Runtz
Gelato 41 & 33
King Louis
Dosido
Mac
these are some of many I feel, like in 20 years once these weirdo New generation kiddos get older will seek after. Market will dictate value. It’s usually all about what you here about when your in you early teen years, that will feel nostalgic later.
And I feel that no one one ever remember any of those in the long run………

In the earlier post, I was being sarcastic when I said that blueberry would be the next strain to be sought after like skunk.
The fact is, blueberry has never fell out favor of the many breeders and growers who are currently using it in their roster.
Across the many, forums, you can see a definite increase of breeders and chucker who who are currently using blueberry in their crosses or looking for it to do so if they can get their hands on the beans.
Blueberry f5, despite its criticisms, is a must have if you are looking to add something timeless to your vault. The fact is, blueberry is the basis of most modern strains and you will be hard pressed to find a cross where it is not used in its design.
I have to give it up to DJ Short for preserving such great genetics and for sharing his hard work with the public.
There's a lot of strains with blueberry in their genetic makeup, but there isn't a blueberry seedline out there that rivals DJ's original work. A lot of people are holding cuts from those original releases, but they aren't widely available, and aren't as prevalent as say Chem 91, or GG4, etc.

Girl scout cookies and blue dream.
Girlscout cookies is LIGHT YEARS ahead of everything just simply from a marketing standpoint alone. It's in FUCKING EVERYTHING now, swear to god if you find a strain you like, look up its lineage and there's a very good chance GSC is already in there somewhere. But yeah damn good answer actually

I got into smoking weed in 2009-2010, and i got out around 2017, at which time I was smoking norcal outdoor and hydro Master kush, chocolate Thai, and white widdow. I came back to the cookie/cake shit and immediately started growing my own. It wasn't because I don't like the new stuff as much as it was for an appreciation of the old stuff.

There is no Gelato I like. I will say the Runtz are pretty potent smoke and I like it for the newer stuff. I was just saying they aren’t like the Skunk in that long lasting legendary way, IMO. Just disagree is all
I feel ya on that, plenty of this new stuff is too similar to me. White truffle sucks lol. Like smoking cedar lol. However, I hang out with a lot of youngsters (I’m the cool uncle that grows) and I listen to their bullshit haha. Let me tell ya they know nothing about weed strains. Best and most frequent question I’m asked “sativa or indica”. I just simply say hybrid now… ehhh

Tiktok, IG, Snapchat have taking over most of the marketing opportunities for the plant and branding names are sadly dominant in the community. Are there outliers? Yes sure. Always going to have people who truly love this plant. But In general I’d bet that genetics from these “elites” will be sought after and seen as collectors and “original strains”.

Seems like our(my) day was sours/ogs/ and the start of all things “purps”, now we seek to collect them.

While they talk about runtz and cakes, and mints. I rarely here them say or ask for Chems or skunks. I do hope your right though don’t get me wrong I want skunk funk back.

I think nearly every strain over 30% THC has Chem D or Girl Scout cookies in the lineage.
Lots of cookie hybrids but the forum cut is getting hard to find.
The loudest, strongest smelling strain I've tried is Golden Goat. A good sativa with yield, potency and terps will dominate in the future.
I allegedly have a forum cut.... okay a cut of a cut of a forum cut. Can't really confirm, but my buddy flowered her and she looked the part. She's a phosphorous whore and I'm looking forward to crossing her with some of my favorite strains to see if she adds anything worthwhile. If I get another tent I'll flower her myself, but I just popped a whole bunch of seeds and I don't have any desire to have a bunch of GSC flower on hand.

I'm partial to Pineapple Fields myself. The high is very pleasant, and the terps are wonderful. Even the rotting Pineapple pheno lol

It’s hard to say that anyone would still be looking for cookies 20 years from now. I say that because the guys over at overgrow can’t give the stuff away. In fact give it away is what they do with it. The newbie will be snatching it up, but the olde timers will pass on it every time.
Because of the improbable chance of finding something that doesn’t have any cookies in it is why I say people will turn to blueberry f5.
Im already seeing the trend because there are tons of people who are looking for chocolate thai and highland oaxacan gold. Since blueberry is in direct lineage of ct and hog, it makes perfect sense what breeders are choosing blueberry as a reliable source of the genetics.
Most importantly, starting a breeding program with a polyhybrid is amateurish. Said program would be doomed from the start, without any chance of producing something with a predictable nature. Which most of you already know this.
the “cookie fiasco” aka, the “hemp hop” is causing many breeders to look for true genetics to start their programs.
I feel sorry for anyone who says cookies or, gelato, or the likes is the best that they have smoked. However I did like the cannaventure’s runtz s1 though. For me, it want make a go to strain. But decent enough smoke for when I got something to do and don’t want to be messed up for hours.
personal I like smoke that plus 7 on the Alexander Shulgin psychedelic rating scale which officially peaks at ++++ or plus four.

People will turn to Blueberry f5 and wonder why its garbage and DJ Short himself doesnt even use it, nor does Blue Star Seed co. Then they will do what everyone extremely interested in BB has done and go into the rabbit hole... GSC forum is similar to the BB everyone is fond of, in that it was a mutant. A one of a kind plant. DJ short was only able to produce the BB seeds people remember for a very brief window in time. I am of the mind that the clones of mutants are the deffinitive BB, and in trying to stabilize the strain for consistency, they almost entirely eliminated what made the plant attractive. Its taken 25 years and a huge interest for guys like Blue Star to come at the strain and try to bring back the traits people actually want from blueberry, and he still hasnt perfected it.

There are 15 year olds getting shithammered off cake and cookie cuts right now. In 10 years, those kids are going to be on these forums, reading these posts, wondering how their holy grail was taken for granted.

That being said, guys like AKBB and Fluer De Mal put alot of time and effort into preserving and breeding old school stains in a hopefully sustainable fashion so that we can take them into the future. Then you have guys like Dynasty genetics who make gassy, potent polyhybrids in the modern era of pollen chuckers.

Humbolt Seed Company has a GSC in seed form. Im guessing its the modern BB equivalent of GSC forum cut. I garuntee people will take it, breed with it, the lineage will say "GSC" and people will start looking into the history of GSC without any idea that the strain they liked had absolutely nothing to do with the infamous cut. Such is the way in the wonderful world of weed.
