Outdoor Ontario Canada

Hello All,

Can anyone recommend some strains that grow well in Ontario, Canada?

In the past I have tried: Northern Lights, White Widow, Blue Cheese, Blue Dream, and Jack Herer. All pretty successful but I would like to try something new.

Durban Poison is my current leading candidate.

I'm a novice grower at best and can't handle any of the more challenging strains.

Thanks for your help.

Afghani , pakistani any heavy kushes.... NL is one of the greats for north of 45 degrees of latitude and I grow at least 3 in my outdoor grows in N Michigan every summer. I get two harvests a year outdoors by growing autos from may to july and then put out the photos after , they usually are finished by late september or early october , rain permitting

PS: that'll never mature in your neck of the woods.... thats a november finisher and that far north, by that time the days are too short, too cold and way too rainy.... I wouldn't even attempt it unless its in a greenhouse and even then you wont get peak flower out of it :(just my opinion though
I agree. I maintain an IBL Durban and you’re looking at about 85 days of flowering.

Im also in S. Ont. Outdoors for me the last few seasons my favourite has been Purple Maroc (Female Seeds).
Always done before Oct. and its resistant to PM and bud rot. Its more of a sativa type but thats what I prefer.

Time Warp from JOTI was also great but I purchased those seeds before the company changed ownership.

I will be growing Durban poison this year too. Ive read that it can finish in our area before the shit weather hits.
Its all weather dependant. 2022 November was warm. If you can, shelter your plants for the last few weeks of flowering. A small amount of rain is no problem but if the forecast calls for days of rain, cover them. It makes a big difference.
Edit to mention my Durban seeds are from Dutch passion. Real Durban does take a long time to flower.

Grandaddy Purple , AK47 , Girl Scout Cookies all do well...veg them at least 2ft before going outside early as spring is warm.

Dutch Passion Durban is not landrace Durban. Glad you pointed this out.
