My grandparents lived in upstate NY when I was growing up. One of the few memories I have of out there is visiting the cider mills and buying maple candy in the gift shop.

That's a killer video. They're reintroducing Peregrine falcons in Richmond and there a live video feed of the nest that the Department of Natural Resources sets up every year during the nesting season. Chicks from that nest have been relocating all over VA which is really great. I've never seen one in real life but they are impressive.

I actually have a local family of Peregrines and one whipped by me after a pigeon yesterday he was so close you could feel the wind from his wings.
