Too much nitrogen

Seems darker green than the picture is showing.
Does this look like nitrogen toxicity?

You gave no information to go with a picture that doesn’t represent what you’re seeing? Media looks bone dry though as an observation only though and imo there isn’t any sign of an N toxicity.
 
I've never tried octopots but I don't like the idea with peat. My understanding is top feeding takes weeks for everything to break down and when you water on top your forcing these nutrients to leach throughout the soil.

They recommend 40% perlite and no heavy soils to avoid compacting.
I pretty much only watered enough to cover rootzone at the time.
Not enough for any kind of run off .
Roots are just now hitting the water zone.
Plants is really dark green.
I wanted to avoid any problems with the water reservoir, now that the roots are starting to feed.
 
I know nothing of octopots but it only shows using liquid nutes in the res? Not sure how/ if additional dry nutes in soil will effect anything
