Thinking about doing a Mazda test drive today. Nearest dealer is 60 miles away in Scranton, PA. I am already bummed though....Mazda has shitty paint too! I think all the mainstream cars are using crappy water based paint and clear coat now, and they are putting it on thin. Soft and thin is what the body shops say.

I don't know why you couldn't take a brand new car to a body shop and have them put a nice thick coat or 2 of quality clear coat on....Might cost 2k, but PPF film is like $1,700 just to wrap the front end, and it only lasts a few years.

This is why I have been car shopping for 5 years! Every car has issues of some kind, and I hate having buyers remorse!

Happy Saturday!!

Nothing is built to last anymore. I've bought exactly 2 new cars in my life. Both for my wife. Cuz she likes shiny things. The first couple years are just fixing shit and recalls. I almost prefer to get a low mileage used car so that shits already been taken care of. Never had a Mazda. But these days I don't think brand matters as much as it use to. It's a roll of the dice.

I too like shiny things :) let me just say the only trip I have taken back to the dealership was because 1 window they tinted wasn't perfect. They gave me a 7 loaner and re-tinted her perfectly. My first service is booked in May and I expect I won't spend a dime (I bought the concierge service package) and I'm planning on an 8 series loaner (test drive for the coming upgrade). It was a lot of money but with all the other crap in my life my car is no longer something I have to worry about.
