oh yeah, I'd rig up some kind of reflector too as half the light is just radiating into outer space. Minimum some aluminum pie plates clipped onto the power bar or whatever.my lights are gnna be setup like these
is that enough side light?
yeah that's the ticket, I slip a piece under the seedling too to reflect the light that would have went into the soil.ah good idea, maybe ill wrap some shit in aluminum foil and put it around the plant(s)
thanks, sure the light will bounce back up into the leaves, looks sexy too !so you cover the dirt with a piece of foil with space in the middle for the stem? thats a pretty good idea
I've heard this many times yet no one has ever posted a picture of foil "burn". I put foil reflectors under seedlings in full summer sun outdoors with no ill effects. To suggest cfls will "burn" is a gross exaggeration.foil tends to burn the leaves on plants,, you should try to get mylar,, its extremely reflective and wont hurt your plants..........

no arguing that from me, though it's a bitch to place little pieces on the tops of pots, they start to curl up later.I just really,,,really like mylar,,cause like the saying goes,,,,ONCE YOU GO MYLAR YOU CANT GO BACK.... GOOD LUCK...
