59,167 views Apr 5, 2023
Since the announcement of his indictment, Trump has been spouting inflammatory rhetoric about the Manhattan DA, judge, and Department of Justice. Harry explains the powers the judge in the Trump case has to control Trump's statements (and even his freedom) if he continues to rev up his base up to the point of inciting violence.

Did anyone else catch this part of his airing of grievances last night:
"Apparently, they're not looking at me through the view of the non-criminal presidential records act. They came up with a new one; this is a new one, and they're looking at me through the Espionage Act of 1917, how does that sound? Where the penalty is death."

He also confessed his motive to Hannity on TV, "They gave Nixon 18 million for what he had", so he loaded up with docs so he could sell them back to the government for a billion. He read the headline I guess, and the simpleton had no clue at all about what the story was about and thought he could just steal shit and extort the government to get it back! Jesus he's even stupider than I thought, and I honestly think he is an indolent moron with low operational intelligence and no knowledge base at all, a know nothing who can't think.

When Attorney General Merrick Garland took the reins at the Department of Justice, why didn't the Southern District of New York continue its investigation into Donald Trump? Trump was out of office. He was not a candidate. Now it has been left to local prosecutors to pick up the pieces of the case. Andrew Weissmann, MSNBC legal analyst, former FBI general counsel, and former senior member of the Mueller probe, joins Joy Reid with his analysis.
